Hey!

Since legacy league have been extended, I'm looking for new build to have fun cuz im bored of my KoTF, tell me please how much I need to invest to farm comfortable up to t15 maps? I'm not talking about shaper/uber atziri or guardians here.

Doable with Skin of the Loyal + 300 ES Hubris / 450 ES shield.
Expect Jewelry to run you 1ex apiece if you're going for some of the cheaper stuff.
If you find DPS lacking, try using an Abyssus. Most expensive pieces will be jewelry/Skin. You can also dual wield ToA if you've got nice %Max pieces and a solid Hubris + crysbelt.
Taste of Anguish + Abyssus is actually more damage than my

I've done Overgrown and Abyss with ToA equipped (guildie wanted me to stream it for him before he respecced in SSF league)
First off, I'd like to thank Invalesco for the nicely written guide. On top of that, this CI frost blades build is the best I've had - hands down.

I mostly played LHC this season, but really found red maps a bit too slow going for my taste using my trash bladefall totem character. I came across this guide and decided to throw together old gear I had in standard. With the same level of gear, this build farms better than my Blade Vortex pathfinder and Blade Flurry Assassin of the past 2 seasons.

I can answer NaneLz's question above - what gear level do you need to comfortably farm T15? I'm missing flat damage on my amulet and one ring (one ring is steel, one is diamond). My claw is barely an upgrade over ToA. My shield has 426 ES and my chest 784 ES. I don't have any double-multi double-IAS jewels (and, they're impossible to trade for in standard). I sit just above 10kES and do almost exactly half the damage Invalesco, at best. Yet, I speed farm every T15 map without concern for mods, re-rolling only no leech and/or elemental reflect. I've even replaced Fortify in my SC setup with Ice Bite for the farm speed. My gear is only above average because I have Skyforth. Even an half damage, though, my DPS is plenty for all content in the game.

I've tried quite a few variations of Invalesco's Pathfinder passive tree, and I keep coming back to rather exactly what he uses (at L95 I lack the +30 strength node and the last 3-cluster jewel slow). The only real disagreement I have with him is using a Vinktar flask, at least for farming. For speed farming in particular its a BiS pathfinder flask because you don't have time to read mob properties and you simply can't die - not to reflect, not to flame bearers, not to anything - as long as you keep Vinktar up all the time. For Shaper, I can't keep Vinktar up all the time; for Minotaur, I can and just facetank him through the rocks.

I rolled 4R1G1B in my Vaal Regalia, and for farming T15 and below I use Item Rarity; I also typically farm with Bisco's as well. DPS is still PLENTY. I only swap on better gear for Guardians, which are almost always deathless. I regularly farm Shaper (albeit not deathless, but that's on me not avoiding his mechanics 100%).

In summary, the DPS from 5 multiplier gems, the freezing, the attack speed, the amazing flasks - this build is absolutely great.
Correction - I can't do all content in the game - yet.

Question: I'm on a crusade to finish my atlas, and I still need Hall of Grandmasters. I have not been able to kill Mull Guben, even with a 19/20 block reduction gem (I have to use a Tabula to get the colors, but fortunately he doesn't really do damage). I feel like I can get him to half ES. I can't really double my DPS without min/max jewelry. I guess a BRC weapon enchant would be an option, but that would require making a PvP char just to do it.

Anyone with this build have ideas? My DPS with flasks up shows only 800k. Just not enough?

LEGACY LEAGUE EXTENDED!

I'm super excited about this. I think that I'll have time to really make this build into something awesome.

Thus far, I'm shooting for Skyforths and and >350 pdps claw. The best I've been able to craft is 336 pdps, which -- according to Path of Building isn't really that much of an upgrade from my Touch of Anguish. And, I like ToA because of the chain.

Any ideas for improvements? Besides the obvious lack of Skyforths and a good claw? My character name is Fireshells.

Thanks!

While ToA is nice because of the chain, being able to freeze reliably with a rare claw is also another consideration worth taking into account!

With regards to improvements: you should get another jewel socket next to vaal pact so that you can use 2 of the Fight for Survival jewels. You're only using 1 atm as far as I can tell. After that, you can work towards getting good rare jewels for your other future sockets. Aim for at least 1 x attack speed and 2 x crit multi.

Glad you're enjoying the build! :)

I had no problems with HoGM with 17/0 block reduction gem. I can't actually remember my DPS back then, but I should think that 800k is enough!

What about Phase Run?

PoE wiki shows that it provides "(20-30)% more Melee Physical Damage"
Since it is listed as "more" damage, wouldn't that be a huge buff?
enlighten can be lvl 3 or it must be lvl 4?
Hey guys,
I've been following this build for a few weeks and gearing my guy accordingly. My goal right now is to get over 2mill dps fully buffed. Currently sitting at 1.9mill, but am having a hard time finding upgrades based on what I know about this build. I am hoping those more knowledgeable than myself could tell me if i am missing something obvious or not so obvious in my approach to dps madness.

Here is my gear.

Assword,

Looking at your setup the three things that jump out to me are these:

1. Try and get Critical Strike Multiplier on your claw and necklace. That would definitely help boost your DPS up, though at this point your gear choices are going to start costing a lot more if you want to upgrade.

2. Try and get a higher %Physical Damage claw. Your claw is really nice as it is, since you have a huge flat physical damage roll on it. However, if you can score one with an equally high flat physical damage roll and higher %Physical Damage, then that will definitely boost your DPS even more.

3. Try and get a Wise Oak flask. If you want to keep the Diamond Flask for critical strike chance and the bleed removal then do so. Granted, you'll lose the Basalt flask, but me personally, I'd drop the Diamond Flask and try and reroll a Basalt Flask with bleed removal on it. The defense you get from that is very helpful and worth it, but if you set on trying to push your DPS to the limit, drop the Basalt and go with Wise Oak.

You won't see a sheet DPS difference when using it, but that Penetration from the flask will be noticeable. That and you do get the nice All Resist from using Wise Oak, even more so as a Pathfinder with all the flask effectiveness.
He's not using a basalt but a silver flask. Basalt doesn't seem that good to me anyway, doesn't help too much vs shaper or atziri who do mostly elemental damage. Probably not great either vs hydra or phoenix and not mandatory vs anything below T15 with near 10k ES the danger is quite low.

As we're around 70-75% crit diamond is really good in terms of dps.

And for the last one I prefer wise oak for bosses, rotgut (+ blood rage) for mapping, speeeeeeed.
Can someone explain how it's possible to get higher dps with Frostblades then BF?

Specifically what combination of nodes / mechanics / supports push it over?

No matter what combination I use I ALWAYS get higher dps with BF and it just makes FB seem pointless.
