@redix27 In your Minotaur vid theres 48% boss increased life so that dude has 12.5 mil * 1.48 = 18.5 mil HP. You where basically facetanking him for 85 sec.

Now...

18.5 mil HP / 85 sec = 217k average sustainable DPS (and this is same DPS vs Shaper).

Which is close to my calculations: ~280k with maxed gear - basically you can achieve that and kill unbuffed T16 Mino in less than 45 sec if u practice your cycloning and have better accuracy or/and cyclone AoE. And regarding that and our latest messages exchange I think we have found solution for both problems :P

42 sec kill time with 12.5 mil HP Boss, thats 297k real, sustainable DPS. Very nice.

You cannot use skills that has either lightning or fire elemental part. You can use cold skills or pure physical skills for Mjolner triggering. If you cant stand cyclone try frost blades vs packs and Frenzy-Multistrike-FA-IncAoE-Fortify vs Bosses.

Huh, why wouldn't lightning or fire skills work with Mjolner, what am I missing?

Do I need to modify anything important from the build/skilltree if using frost blades instead?

Hmpf, elemental equlibrium?

And nope you dont have to change anything as long as you use cold or pure physical skill for trigger you are good.

I'm still trying to understand how Elemental Equilibrium works here; if I hit the enemy with Frost Blades for example, their cold res will up 25%+ meanwhile light and fire res go down 50%-, then my Discharge does the rest of the work with its lightning damage I assume?

Another thing that I forgot to add before you answered me surprisingly fast; why use Fortify support gem if you get that as an ascendancy skill?
Hi, want to try this as my next build, but only next league since I am not able to devote enough time per league to playing more than one build. Question: That belt is league exclusive. Is there some info about it being available in the leagues to come?

Got berserker version of this. Just wondering is there specific point going out of berserker and for example kaoms heart to Juggernaut version?

Still cant understand why not use purity of elements instead separate ones. Is the 3% max res so big game changer?
Can this build go for 6L Cyclone instead of having that 1 slot down there for other gem?

1) You hit with either cold skill or physical skill with cold source on gear (i.e. +x-y cold dmg to attacks on ring).
2) Mob gets +25% cold -50% fire and light res
3) Your Discharge trigger and hits mob with fire and lightning dmg
4) Mob gets -50% cold and +25% fire and lightning
5) cycle repeats

Now you should allready know why lightning or fire based attack skill wont work with this.

And where you found that one? The only Ascendancy I know that grants you Fortify is Champion's Fortitude.

Currently not. We can only assume that Harbinger will be included in the core game mechanics after league ends. However we dont know yet if Beachhead map and uniques that drops there will be included and to what extend.

Theres non. Both can do the same. Both have similar DPS output and overall survivability on the same level. There are some minor differences like i.e. Jugg has high life regen (650+) to counter DoTs like chaos dmg and bleeding and can run RF without much of an issue while Zerkes has 0 life regen (Vaal Pakt). Jugg heals up almost instantly via Kingsguard mechanics while Zerker heals up instantly via leech mechanics after taking savage hit. Jugg can heal even if target is temporaly immune to dmg (i.e. Atziri healing phase, Rigwalds wolf phase, Waterways boss) while Zerker cant. Zerker is better vs Shaper while Jugg is better vs Uber's Trio and Uber lab. Zerker requires Add Accuracy gem in cyclone link while Jugg not. However Jugg requires Blood Magic gem in Cyclone link while Zerkers not. And so on. Nothing like night and day differences. It really depends on you liking to play with Vaal Pakt or liking to have good life regen.

Well yes. And its not +3% but rather +4% to max (or even +5% if lvl 21 corrupted and + empower/Alphas Howl). Consider this:

You have 79% max light resistance, topaz flask up, fortify up and 6k life, you are hit for 50k of lightning dmg with Uber Atziri's lightning storm:

50000 * 0.15 (light res) * 0.8 (fortify) = 6000 dmg done = you're dead.

You have 83% max light resistance, topaz flask up, fortify up and 6k life, you are hit for 50k of lightning dmg with Uber Atziri's lightning storm:

50000 * 0.11 (light res) * 0.8 (fortify) = 4400 dmg done = you have 1600 life left.

Now vs T14 Palace Dominus "touch of god": you have 6k life, 79% max light res, topaz flask up, basalt flask up, fortify up and at least 4 endurance charges up (Lets skip 5k armour rating for now), you're hit with 9k physical and 9k lightning dmg at the same time:

phys part: 9000 * 0.69 (endu charges + basalt flask) * 0.8 (fortify) = 4968 of phys dmg done to you
light part: 9000 * 0.15 (light res) * 0.8 (fortify) = 1080 of light dmg done to you

4968 + 1080 = 6048 total dmg done to you = you're dead.

Same with 83% max light res:

phys part is the same so 4968 of phys dmg done to you
light part: 9000 * 0.11 (light res) * 0.8 (fortify) = 792 of light dmg done to you

4968 + 792 = 5760 = you have 240 life left.


Also consider all the reflect dmg from aura reflect mobs, certaing bosses.

Yes. You can use Culing Strike as a 6 link for example if u manage the colors... or Inc Aoe for more QoL.

Hey, coming back to that post; how does Frost Blades or Frenzy actually benefit from IncAoE since none of them are AoE attacks?
