Idk, I looked online and all the threads I found all said it does indeed work with cyclone, so I switched back to it b/c as you said its much better being able to use a lv20 or 21 curse.

I had to make a new ring though to keep my flame golem so I bought a cheap i82 shaped unset ring for 5c and got to work on it, sadly the life roll sucked but after about 900 alteartion orbs it had to do for the moment;



And put my gloves back to the old setup;



I just have to relv/corrupt a new lv21 blind gem, sold my old one but kept my 21weakness/vengeance/CoH luckily.

(selling my old ring for cheap to get back the cost of the elreon mod just hit me up ign if you need a good spell damage ring for an actually fair price, not the 10ex nonsense people try to gouge everyone for)

How much for that ring? I'm not sure I can equip it though (STR and INT are tight).

EDIT: Yea I need 21 more INT if I want to use that ring.

Ya the INTs always tight if your using an corrupted Voll's, I use a clean one on standard and abyss so I have the flexibility to get away with crafted INT and not tier 1, rings on poe.goods though, just the cost of the meta mod, 2.

Aside from the skill tree there are some other pretty easy ways to get some strong life regen, the labyrinth boot enchant and abyss jewels, id recommend swapping that meginords waist out for a nice stygian vise and getting a solid life/life regen jewel, let me show you an example of the belt and the specific lab enchant;

The other really really OP item for us is a Watcher's Eye with any combo of;
% of physical damage taken as fire damage while affected by purity of fire
% of physical damage taken as cold damage while affected by purity of ice
% of physical damage taken as lighting damage while affected by purity of lightning

The catch is a double physical reduction eye retails for 10-20ex, so you have to watch the market and catch someone that doesnt know the value selling 1 cheap, it happens, I know of aleast 3 ppl including myself that paid less then 100 chaos for theirs.

(ditch those repentance gloves too, you can get -1% sp dmg for like 20chaos on abyss uncorrupted)
