Following the build as we speak, but I was wondering if it would be good to take point blank or not. I know with spec throw builds, point blank is kind of debated, but with LS, since sometimes you'll need to move closer, be that because of high hp mobs/bosses, or because of floor clutter, PB might be pretty good. It'd also increase the damage by quite a bit.

Spectral Throw is a complete projectile skill but Lightning Strike has a melee part to it as well. I wouldn't suggest getting it since the melee part does more damage than the projectiles by default. With the defences on this build you can facetank most bosses in the game already and wouldn't need the range. You would only be doing 12.5% more damage than the melee part at close range with point blank. (1*.75*1.5 = 1.125). For better damage against bosses, I suggest MPD for 50% more melee damage if you get a 6L.

shaper viable?

I run this build with 2x Innsbury Edge (cost only 1 alc each) in cruel (and merc now) and wow so much dps already... More than my main who is lvl 80+ lol.

Update:
Okay this build, especially with a few ascendency points allocated is really op. 2 alcs in items (2 swords) + tabula = 30k DPS + penetration AOE (and ranged) way before you get to maps. No flasks or haste or anything required.

Glad it's working out for you! I actually ran mightflay knives from 35 all the way until 66, if I knew about Innsbury Edge that would have saved me alot of frustration haha. Once you get touch of anguish, maps will be even faster to clear with the free chain! It can potentially triple your damage output against mobs assuming you're not using pierce.

Yeah, for sure. Wild strike is actually one of my alternate skills I use when I want to switch it up. The build is quite versatile and can be adjusted for the skill you prefer to play but I would suggest getting Primeval Force before Arcing blows if you plan to use Wild Strike as your main skill.
