The greater point is, the left has completely lost touch with reality. They don't see nor understand how someone like Trump could win the election. Months later, they're still shaking their heads. Lashing out and calling Trump a big meanie insensitive person isn't going to convince a single person who voted for Trump that they made the wrong decision. Disapproval of Trump doesn't mean they would have voted for Clinton. Approval ratings are just a number, and don't examine the intricacies at the root of the disapproval. I guarantee if he starts construction on the wall, his approval ratings go up. I'd be willing to bet money on that. I had my money on Trump winning the election when he was 8:1 odds. " Your wall will never happen We'll know one way or the other come 2018 when neocons in the Republican Party lose more seats to primary challengers, and democrats in red states lose even more seats. It's not going to be a good for a sitting Republican who opposes the wall. They could realistically slip 'The Wall™' in on an emergency recess session. Now that Gorsuch is on the Supreme Court, Trump isn't going to lose a single challenge the left brings to the Supreme Court.
