why don't you use "Deafening Essence of Loathing" for crafting the helmet?

" This is what I was referring to a few posts back. The only reason to not use it is the cost relative to the screaming version. It's about 6c for the deafening, and 1c for screaming. |

" This is literally the exact criticism that I needed. Thank you! I actually plan to just buy a 20/20 srs when I get on tonight as it looks like they run about 3c which sounds good to me. Is there any other gems that can be had at 20/20 that make a huge difference? I managed to get into t11-13 as well. Pulled off corrupted wastelands and a few others. Played as safe as possible. I figure shavs and UID plus presence will be huge, as well as a energy from within, but thats all 10-15ex away. Man I need some drops!!! Thanks again! ...brings back fond D2 LoD memories...

" Yeah, buying the 20/20 SRS is cheap (likely a corrupted version) since everyone is shooting for 21/20. But you'll notice the biggest difference with that for sure. You should move to get all of your gems to 20/20 essentially - some will have bigger impacts than others, but with the handy vendor recipe, it's not a big chore to do it. My warning is not to vendor all of your level 20s at the same time - I did this league and it really set me back for a few hours of mapping. Try splitting up your gems into two or three groupings - vendor group 1, level them back to ~15, then vendor the next. You can look up each gem on the wiki page to see exactly what quality does for them, but it won't hurt getting them all up there. Obviously your chest gems will be the biggest impact as they are the ones directly effecting your SRS. Personally the amulet upgrade will be the best bang for the buck at this point - you'll get a huge chunk of ES from that upgrade. A 6L shavs will be a big survivability thing too. The Energy from Within isn't as huge of a deal - I won't get into the math (you're replacing a jewel that gives +ES and minion damage, and losing a chunk of your life pool for casting your SRS), but it doesn't help as much as you'd think. Leave that until after you get the other upgrades (unless you find one for a cheap price!). More or less - focus on your gems and getting them to 20/20. As you do that you'll naturally farm the currency to start purchasing the unique upgrades you need. Check back periodically and I (we) will help out with pointing you in the next direction! Hey all, this might be a little bit overkill, but after I got my damage set together I went back and revisted my MF set to start chaining Strands. After looking at my gear and tree, I realized I could fit a Bisco's neck in and throw Kiara's Determination into the flask rotation to handle stuns. This is nowhere near ideal for survivability, but the changes in currency drops have been significant. Granted, everything I've seen could be anecdotal, but it's been really great the past couple of days for me at least. If you're looking for ways to milk out a little more when just farming, I definitely recommend it.

" We try our best to help everyone who makes a reply in the thread =) Skills that are provided by a item will (always if eligible I think) be supported by the gems you put in that item. The whispering Ice is a popular example where you just need to 6S the weapon and you'll be able to get a "7L" without any links at all in the weapon. As Matematikas mentioned jewel's can be found at 4.9.9, a bit hidden I know but it's hard to make everything visible without making it too messy ;) I would probably go for 1x Conq efficiency, 1x Sacrificial Harvest, and the rest rare ones. " When I started out with this build I actually used the Kiara's flask instead of the Chayula amulet, it worked pretty well. Then I started to use chayula instead and I realised that I could never go back ;) Builds:

" Tbh. I wouldn't, no offense intended, but to quote a previous reply, "dead man can't loot". Maybe it's just a personal thing, but I almost always go chayula on a CI/LL build, unless it's a totem or a passive summoner build. Kiara makes stun immunity situational, which is pretty bad considering this is a build which relies on you casting SRS, or you die. Esp. early on, Kiara is expensive, Chayula is dirt cheap. When we run out of Kiara charges, even the smallest thing like opening strongboxes can become a nightmare, you either have the charges, or you're lucky enough to shield charge/blink away, before you get stunlocked to death. Granted I do like Bisco, and from my experience it does has a quite decent impact on drops, esp. when you use Bloodlines leaguestones often. |

I just got my gems to lvl 20 and farmed up 3ex, ~150c.
Any tips on which item to get first / which item to upgrade? Shavs, presence of chayula or UiD? (i would prefer a defensive option so actually the question is shavs vs presence of chayula) I'm @ 6k es atm. |
|
" Shavs gives you more es than chayula amulet, so shavs.. Its just core item of the build, should get it first, but look for 6S 5L for 6ex, since not worth to save like 0.5ex or less for no sockets/links and waste them by yourself (even if you link it..)
