You just drop the CI nodes, pick up the 2 LL nodes and then do whatever you want with the leftover points (probably Melding). Pretty fun build so far. Even works adequately for PVP. What's probably unintended is that this build is perfect for Vorici missions. Low life for 10seconds just needs a few shots of blight without vortex. Same if you need to kill just the guards without the main target. One question is if you could use cold-to-fire+AOF instead of void manipulation? You could save a ring slot this way, but I'm not sure about the dps. Avatar of fire would be an immense DPS loss, because your damage would be only fire, so you would get zero damage from blight, zero damage for the dot component of vortex, no chaos conversion for the direct damage component of vortex and no poison plus double dipping goodies.
