If it's about my character you are aware that opal rings with 20/30 less res and the same stats are extremely insanely expensive right?
http://poe.trade/search/areyuwahumonar
???
Like I understand your trying to find "budget" ways to increase dps but you didn't even check the prices of alternatives. The rings don't even exist with the ability to craft 20% ES on them.
I think that guy is just trolling at this point with his so-called 'budget' options. Chill, don't get triggered by him haha
even at level 100 with level 21 gems I'm nowhere close to 25k damage with blade flurry. I cap out around 19k tops at lvl 100. My gear is pretty decent and would be hard to improve without dozens of ex.
What is going on here? I'm about to give up on BF and switch back to ST. :(
Thanks for any help/advice you can offer!
edit: I forgot that BF got a 15% nerf in 2.6. Could this be the cause of the disparity? 85% of your original damage is about 21k which isn't far from my theoretical dps at higher levels. This would make sense and almost be a relief, lol.
Your gear is fine! The reason your DPS doesn't seem to be as good is because of your jewels. None of your jewels have crit multi on them. I'd suggest getting rare jewels with %attack speed and 2 x crit multi mods. Those would be the most significant dps boost for you.
Examples:
You're right that BF got a 15% nerf. Unfortunately, the claw nodes cluster got buffed tremendously in terms of crit chance and crit multi so that kinda evened it out, sadly. Sorry I can't give you that relief. :P
Hey im having trouble with this build, im only doing 5k with no buffs and idk why :/ heres my gear, also lmk if theres anything i can do in my passive tree that will help.
Hey, its mostly to do with your links. Take out Incr. Crit Strikes for Weapon Elemental Damage, that will help. Aside from that, you have the soul raker cluster coming up which will also be a significant boost in DPS. Lastly, getting a 6L will also have a huge impact.
Ok bois, since I'm done with challenges upto portal, I can spend my currency to get build better. My current items:
Spoiler
I considered past OP's advices and checked some items like crystal belts, but it seems any decent upgrade costs a shitton of moneys. Currently I have free 8 exalts, and I can sell my chest for ~5 ex, so 13 total.
DPS info (hideout, wrath active):
With LPen: GMP dps - 68k, SP dps - ~127k.
With Critical damage instead of LPen: GMP dps - ~89k, SP dps - ~155k.
Questions:
1) Would it be fine to change my 740es chest for 900es+ and respec some ES nodes into damage? Or better start from belt-jewelry?
2) Is it important taking frenzy charges in tree? Now I have 5 total.
3) Considering I can get ~6 free points from [1] and not having frenzy charges from [2] where do I want to spend these points?
1) Yup that's the best option. I would leave jewellery for the last as it tends to be very difficult to know what stats you need on jewellery until you're satisfied with the rest of your gear.
2 and 3) Yup, once you respec from the ES nodes you can put them into the jewel socket to the right of shadow as well as the other frenzy nodes.
Going forward, will an extra Frenzy Charge be an increase of DPS, or would you go for Crackling Speed?
(have already taken force of nature)
Or even go further down the Witch nodes for more ES, sitting at 9.5k only, but still missing a decent 6L and a better amu.
if you're comfortable with 9.5k ES that's fine. Crackling speed and Frenzy charges both provide a similar amount of DPS boost with crackling speed probably providing slightly more. Frenzy charges improve your attack speed and movement speed though so I would probably go for Frenzy Charges.

oh no he is saying things i dont like ... quick call him a troll and ignore his points what an easy way out :D what a shame when people are so concerned about looking like a kindhearted person to strangers yet they have to resort to such lowly agents but hey as long as we are all polite and friendly with each other you can easily distract and ignore arguments and come up with random bullshit when it is convenient like suddenly taking a perfectly geared character as an example but i guess when you have everyone on your side because you are the friendly and helpful guide maker you can do such things :D well gj dude im out

Hey thanks so much for the guide. I've tried quite a few builds that I maxed out this season and wanted to see what all the howa craze is about. I have to say that i'm in love with it so far, it's a lot of fun.
With that said, could you check my gear and tell me where to improve? I'm kind of improvising in a few spots right now with a hodgepodge of stuff from my other builds. I'm liquidating some of my other builds gear right now because I really really enjoy this and want to focus on heavily gearing it out. When I finish selling everything I should have around 50-100ex more budget to put into it but my current gear is already pretty decent.
My biggest problem right now is resists. I cant run wrath right now and am instead running purity of elements to cap out resistences. I don't know what to drop in it's place right now.
I'm at almost 11k ES with current setup. I'm running your skyforth version of the build as I had chanced one this season and really wanted to play a build that utilized them. I know it's not the most optimized build for skyforth but having almost 11k with them is really decent. And having almost constant upkeep of all those power/frenzy charges is amazing so far.
Any input on tree/gear is most welcome, thanks guys!
Edit: My current thoughts are to pickup the ST helmet enchant but almost 10ex for an enchant makes me want to throw up. Not even a 400+ es helm, just a blank helm being 10ex...wtf. Every other major build its 3-4 ex. I'd rather spend the rest of the league running uber for it myself out of principle. But anyway, I was thinking of that and essence crafting it with 5% reduced reserved until I got a good roll on it. This should allow me to run wrath/disc empowered 4 and have plenty of mana left using skyforth to not worry about mana issues.
Then I was thinking of essence crafting gloves with attack speed until I got a high ES pair with decent resists. I know my 2nd ring needs help but I really needed the str/dex on those badly.
And one more major question. Would Choir of the Storm amulet be a massive boost for this build? Would make the res capping more annoying but I feel it would be such a huge boost in the damage department, but you lose any ES of course.
Had a lot of fun with this build, still a lot more improvement I can make to my gear namely in terms of more accuracy (currently at 87%) and resists so I can craft int on my chest instead. I can also go about obtaining a good rare amulet to replace astramentis but I can't be bothered dealing with stat requirement issues. Shaper and uber atziri were extremely easy to kill compared to my EQ slayer build that's now relegated to being a lab runner.
I have ~10k ES and my GMP spectral throw tooltip dps in hideout with auras/golem is around 70k going up to 160k with all buffs active. My skill tree is pretty much the one linked in the guide with minor adjustments. If I end up leveling this character more the skill points will go towards the jewel slot near the CI passive.

Hi Coaa:
Since you have a lot of currency I'd suggest:
1) Look into purchasing a resist jewel to paper over resist problems short term; afeter you fix resist problems, replace the resist jewel with a DPS jewel.
2) Maybe consider changing bandit options, going with Kraityn in Act 1 for resists - this is a tentative recommendation because you seem to have a lot of currency and can probably fix resist problems without resorting to this.
========
My take on Chior...
Not worth it. You're already struggling for resists in a build trying to get high Int - -30 lightning resist is a huge hit.
Increased damage is subject to diminishing returns... so the increased lightning damage stat isn't nearly as valuable as you'd think.
Meanwhile, Choir offers no stats whatsoever - you want int for the build, strength for several gems including the very nice Ancestral Protector, etc.
A good rare (or Talisman) is best;
A maxed-out Astramentis is 2nd best;
Choir, takes a distant third IMO.

Option 1 is your best short-term bet while getting appropriate gear; option 2 is suggested in case you're still struggling with resists.
Thanks, I never think of jewels for resists I always think of them as the final cherry on top for builds but it is a good option until I work out the rest of my gear. I'm really considering getting astra for now so I can make my 2nd ring much better and smooth out the rest of my resists. I'm still way short of the 1k int goal and astra + better res ring will help that a lot. Not to mention my dps should actually go up significantly if I can get to the int goal and THEN focus on the gear with ele dmg etc at that point.
My first ring I feel is massive, very good. Wish it had more res on it but the rest of it is really good with high ele dmg + lightning damage and good es rolls.

I recommend going for the spectral throw deceleration enchant instead of the damage one, it's much better for mapping purposes. Have a look at my gear as an example.
