[2.6] CRIT HoWA BF/ST Raider [13k ES, 60k BF/265k GMP ST DPS, Stun-immune] [4 sec Chayula kill]

i am wearing this set of jewels and these gloves because it is just very convenient not having to deal with trying to find the right gear with enough accuracy but i have shown in my previous post that the other guy would also have pretty much the same stats with his gear and the modified tree

okay even with my "low" 200 k dps bosses up to tier 15 maps die in seconds the only situation in which you would slightly benefit form 3 extra power charges (which arent even up that often even in bossfights) is in guardian fights where it might make them die slightly faster
"
turns out the only disadvantage of kaoms roots version is the lack of sockets which arent that necessary anyway

but hey give me 10 reasons why it is "garbage" and why OP version works FAR better ( if better at all)

For starters, in your first quote on my reply, your calculations are wrong. 277k DPS, not 299k.

Now lets see.

1. You are trying to recover massive resistance loss with jewels. Good luck with that.
2. Your cold res is still not capped - 169% for elemental weakness maps.
3. You literally destroyed the whole concept of my Wise Oak Bismuth flask.. That fire res..
4. You lost me about 600 ES.
5. Your STR is not enough even for a level 1 Immortal Call.
6. You also lost me about 50k DPS when I single target, lets say versus Shaper. Where is my Power Charges ?
7. Kaom's Root requires 120 STR ALONE. Even a piece of gear with T2 STR on it, is still not enough. Thats why you have literally wasted one point in your very own tree getting a +30 STR node, plus +49 from your ring.
8. If I actually wanna get the Power Charges from those 4 missing slots, I'll have to drop so much more. Flame Dash ? No. CWDT auto-summon Golem ? No. Fortify while Whirling Blades ? No! Maybe Elemental Weakness ? I dont know, you tell me.
9. Your last Path of Building code (306k DPS), requires me to be 102 level, care to tell me how I do that ?
10. At level 100, I can get to around 370k DPS by getting one extra Frenzy Charge and switching a few nodes around OR move down to Primeval Force, while still maintaining my 12k ES.

So, lets get that straight. I have min/max'd for days and MANY sleepless nights over calculations and changes, plus my gear worth about 200ex in total. And your suggestion causes me so many issues, I do not know where to begin with. What happens with someone on a "budget" gear, as you've been saying ?

You are trying to justify these boots (yes, garbage) into fitting them in a build with a totally different concept, which not only gimps the stats in the end - but most importantly, brings its "quality of life" to zero.

I'll pass.

okay now you are just simply lying when you say the latest path requires you to be lvl 102 to have 302k but everyone is free to check the latest build path ; the whole resistance argument is pointless since in my version the resistances are higher you are just saying you would have to adjust them again ... well of course you would have to change a few resistances nice argument though ... i just quickly showed an alternate path ; okay the strength argument ... you have over total 60 dex on your ammy if we replace that by str we would maybe be down to 295k dps ... still better than yours ... okay in the last part you are really stating that you would get 80 k dps from 2 nodes? well that is just plain absurd

all your arguments are just ignorant over the shown build path when you just randomly take older not optimized versions and state you would have less there

the only argument here is that you would loose 3 power charges witch would make absolutely no difference in clearspeed and only a slight difference in the length of guardian and shaper fights ; btw immortal call and flamedash are useless for shaper and guardians anyway

but hey everyone is free to decide for themselves if they want to play the more expensive version with literally no advantages except in some rare cases

hi guys.
very nice build, thanks for the effort.
i've started last weekend, follow the bf tree and now i reached lvl70.

as of lvl70 i have 7,7k es / 3,5k dps (unbuffed and 5-link chest) in h/o. i guess these figures are good to start mapping.

i also have 2 questions:

-i found a jewel in my stash which has 4ias / %27 total multiplier / 11 incr. area damage.
i start to use that but i dont know is area damage worth anything? should i upgrade that jewel?

-
this is my 5link setup. is that correct? or should i pick elemental focus over one of these gems? (6-link chests are far away for my budget)

and what should i aim for upgrade? my setup is as follow:

Spoiler

Heya, you're welcome!

1. Yup that jewel is very nice and has the required mods for boosting BF's damage.
2. Yup that 5-Link set up is perfectly fine!
3. I think your priority should be to level first rather than upgrade your gear haha. You can farm while you're leveling for that 6L chestpiece, which will be a more significant upgrade than anything else you can get at this point, and will make upgrading the rest of your gear easier (because you don't have to re-juggle your res. when you eventually upgrade your chest).

Heya, the passive tree on the main page is the updated one. My current character that I'm playing on Legacy atm is a Frost Blader.

So before you switch from the leveling build to the actual build build, you have to have 40+ respec points? Am I reading that correctly? How many points exactly should we have?

You don't have to have that many respec points, you can respec earlier and save points if you manage to obtain the right CI gear beforehand. That tree that I provided that requires that many respec points is a contingency plan in the event that you manage to keep leveling without yet obtaining the right CI gear.

Couldn't kill the Phoenix last night. Had some nasty map mods (less crit damage, boss deals 104% extra lightning damage, boss has 35% increased life).

Kind of bummed on that, tried purity of fire instead of wrath. 300-320k tool tip for slower proj wasn't enough, he deleted 10k ES pretty much effortlessly. I know the fight mechanics, I've probably killed the guy 100x in total.

I'm at level 94 now and the build is getting boring. I know I will probably never level again. My scourge blade flurry is needing some major attention. That dude deletes Phoenix in about 2 seconds.

I think you're more of a BF person than an ST person. Your preference for scourge BF is likely because of your preference for BF over ST more than anything, although I must admit that any build utilising poison is definitely going to be a stronger boss killer than any other build not using poison, primarily because of the existence of wither. If only we had an elemental version of that! ST is just a more clunky boss killer against tough bosses as compared to BF because the leech isn't instant and requires the projectile to hit the boss (which gets delayed by slower projectiles). I am pretty sure that if you were BF you'd have been fine, such is the difference between the two skills. I personally prefer BF over ST myself for guardians/shaper.

I'm come back to PoE after 5 years and looking for fun and universal build.
How much this build is gear dependent? I have tried Ngamahu-cycloner and found it not much fun. But I've got some currency.
My currency

Is it enough for decent starting gear?

Hey! Yup this build is gear dependent - you need the claws and high INT gear. Your currency certainly seems enough to start a HoWA char. How far you can take it though will depend on how much more you're willing to invest in it.

You can start putting points into the disemboweling cluster for starters :p After that, you can upgrade your astramentis for a better amulet with crit multi.

So anyway, I have now upgraded most of my important gems to lvl21 - currently sitting @ 95k GMP DPS (Hideout). Fully buffed should be around 250k with GMP and 360k with Slower Proj.

To add something else, to anyone else whos gear is almost maxed, try and go the extra mile and pick yourself a decent Culling Strike HoWA. I cannot believe how amazing this corruption is.

I picked this up when I was lvl97 & 50% so I couldnt really test it in fear of screwing up days of exp, but oh boy, after hitting 98 I finally tried it at Shaper. Literally the fastest runs I've ever done. About 3~4 minutes from start to finish, depending on the first 4 minibosses and the after-phase layout runback. While mapping, you one shot everything anyway but I also liked its use in Breaches. Mini-bosses die faster, aswell as the random boss spawn. More splinters, more loot, more profit. Totally worth it.

@OP, well once again, thanks for this amazing guide! I heard your suggestion and upgraded my Basalt to this.

I gotta say, its a beast of a flask. Mapping feels much safer, especially if you're aiming to hit 100. Speaking of which, I was playing around with Path of Building, brainwashing myself and found a way to alter the build abit ONLY after hitting lvl100.

So my theory is, at Raiders starting nodes, you do not pick the Projectile damage (and the one with attack speed) ones, instead you go thru the DEX nodes (which are also getting affected by your Fertile Mind). By doing that, at level 100 you should have 4 "free" points. So, you switch your Cruel and Merciless bandits (atk speed & +1 frenzy) for 2 more points and you have just enough to pick Primeval Force! According to Path of Building, the DPS are getting a significant upgrade! I'll post my PoB full build below and if you feel like it, check it out and let me know what you think.

Gratz on getting that sexy culling strike near-perfect HoWA as well as the Rumi's! The culling strike implicit definitely adds a huge amount of QOL to the character.

Your theory is pretty sound! I've always felt that the attack speed bonus from Kraityn will be better off being respecced to a passive point at the higher levels. Getting the dex nodes instead of the proj damage nodes at the start of Ranger is also likely better if you have a very good node to grab with the extra points. I do however feel like Primeval Force is a little bit too far away to be worth it. If you're OK not having the added protection against reflect, I would personally recommend keeping the Frenzy charge from Merciless, grabbing another jewel socket and getting crackling speed.

Here's the Path of Building code:

Though im sure there is a posted question etc about this already, I wanna ask anyhow.

On ST, how would you maintain power charges with this? Could blue dream be used somehow? (just spitballing)

The idea of going up close to mobs in maps, especially as I play HC, well it makes me wary, I don't like it so much. If you can think of a way that this is possible, id appreciate it, id like to avoid the blade vortex option, if possible.

Love the attention to detail as well as the thought put into it.
Orb of storms + PCoC id say for bosses.
for all the other mobs u will not need power charges to oneshot them anyway.

Aight, one last reply to you, mainly because I just noticed you are playin' hide and seek with me.
Look, when you are "arguing" with someone else and you f*ck up, admit it.

No, I am NOT lying. Why did you edit your post ? Your first Path of Building code, straight up copy/paste, gave me 123 / 121 skill points. Thats level 102. And also, before you edit, you said 306k DPS and not 302k. You had to edit and change it.

Sure, I know I'd have to adjust the resistances, but you are missing my main point. The usage of these boots and not going down to Unwavering Stance, is much more ineffient in every aspect of the build, period. People WILL be forced to use very specific kind of gear, amulet, jewels, whatever, to cover their loss of resistances and the massive STR needed. It will probably make correct-coloring your sockets harder aswell. And for no reason, at all.

For last, I said "changing a few nodes AND with 2 extra after hitting 100", yeah you can probably get about 50~60k more DPS including all the modifiers/flasks up. For reference, OP just replied to me with a Path of Building code which works wonders for what I'm saying. His extra jewel slot, gives about 36k fully buffed DPS and it has 3 out of 4 offensive stats. I could drop the +10% res on the jewel, as I'm capped already and pick a 4/4 offensive jewel, which would probably get me closer to 50k extra DPS.

Your definition of "literally no advantages" is striking. You talk about "budget" when you have a 970 ES chest and some other very good pieces yourself. Yet, you dont even have 10k ES and only 160-170k fully buffed DPS while I'm sitting at 12k and 300k. The point of good build, is to improve as much as possible, from 5 ex budget to 500ex budget - if you have currency to throw at it, not stay "budget friendly" forever. Difference is, yours is getting locked up by massive/specific requirements per gear, while OP's only needs +30 strenght (if that) from somewhere to get it all going and you're free to roll.
also my build is not optimized at all gearwise; i just created the character 4 dayss ago and put on some of the decent gear i had and some high res jewels because i didnt want to deal with accuracy and resistance issues also i dont get what it has to do with yours when i just showed you can get slightly worse results with boots worth a few C

oh hey look i can get a bit better results ( about 3% more ES and same dps) with a 20 ex gearpiece your boot choice is garbage
