Flameblast is without a doubt overpowered, it has been like this for a while, and some recent totem buffs make pizza sticks even more retarted that it already was.
There is like no discussion to have about it, most people are aware of this imo, it will get it someday.

Ok fair enough, the first post isn't even about FB but I see some stuff you posted in the second one so I'll take your word for it. I definitely don't see Fruz posting in any of those threads.

Problem still is though, BF got nerfed and FB did not. And BV didn't really get nerfed much either, people just aren't talking about it because pathfinder got nerfed. We are still path of spellcaster + totems right now and this is the reason I argued against BF nerf. EQ I believe is largely only on that list because of ancestral warchief/totems.

It's probably because flameblast doesn't allow you to just straigth facetank sh**.
BF does.

pizza sticks #4 of the ladder riped because of a probable missclick ( so his mistake ), he got instantly gibbed in the Chayula encounter.
Etup just straigth facetanks it and destroys it with his BF character ( he got a good crit dagger now ).

So yeah, pizza stick is pretty much OP as fuck, but it does not allow those things, which are imho very unhealthy for the game.

You cannot just facetank bosses under perma vinktar and stuff anymore unless you blow it up in no time, it still deals a lot of damage, so for many bosses it might just not change that much.

Maybe GGG also wants to see how it will be in breach overall with those changes, before they decide to tweak the numbers more.

And honestly this isn't a thread about nerfing BF either and there weren't too many. And the nerf GGG did was pretty reasonable for GGG standards.

Instead they pushed Blade Flurry into a certain direction and thats fine. It is essentially the skill you want to use to terminate bosses. Exspecially as an Assassin with Poison you deal incredible damage (again Blade Flurry has a more damage mod on its stage, not more melee damage).

So with that damage you blow away even most spells. Because a full charged critical hitting Blade Flurry from an assassin already deals more poison damage than the initial hit was. If you put done a Wither Totem you can likely increase that even further.

For Flameblast you would expect it to be good on clear and bad on bosses, however sadly that doesn't work. Most great AoE skills have at least some downside at bosses, Flameblast though with the powerful ignites doesn't. Still it only works good on the low HP map bosses and grows significantly weaker the longer you take to blow up the boss, because of the lack of sustain. With BF you essentially need one full release to be back on full HP due to life leech.

I happen to have a BV Pathfinder in HC (from EHC) and I know how it works. BV assassin for example is largely unchanged and there were a bunch of those topping the ladders last league.

Except for the fact that literally every single target gem could do the same thing. And nobody uses that shit skill set so IDK why you're acting like BOSS DELETION is a relevant factor in a map-clear meta. If BF was going to be a useful skill it needs to have good clear and let them use something else for boss kills. Instead they just turned BF into a longer-ranged less-damage viper strike.

And BTW, the more you invest into poison the further away viper strike pulls ahead of BF in terms of dps, if you're going to talk about poison.
