American evening Race Event times updated

Well with the new times it has pretty much taken every single race out of playable times for me. Except for a 1h race that I'll be able to squeeze in. They haven't announced the lengths of the later races so might be able to do 1 or 2 of those.
But even if I can do 3 1h races I doubt there is a point as from what they said it seems like you'll either have to win races or play many to get anything.
:(
I like how its "americans with jobs". I dont know about other countries but I know in america there are 3 working shifts. Its nice that you are willing to change times but please dont forget not everyone works a 9-5 in america lol.
Yeah, the new times almost guarantee that I won't be able to make races during the week now, I work a 11 AM - 7:30 PM shift- I get home several minutes after the 8PM race starts. Before, I got home before the 10PM race. I'm in Arizona in the US. Oh well.

At the moment we hit good times for Europe and Western America. Okay-ish times for Australia and Eastern America (10pm?). We'd need to have dozens of events in the evenings to get perfect coverage here.

Why not just rotate the times every week? Most people who work the normal 8-5 job would love start times of around 7 or 8 pm. If every major area could get these start times at least 1 week of the season I believe many people would be much happier.

This is actually a really great idea.

Oh, and Chris, the 10pm slot has the least amount of races by a large margin.

Surely there must be a way to make the League open for 24 hours but limit an account to the set number of hours of playtime...

With such a global game this is the only way I can see races being manageable. It will also mean everyone from everywhere with any job will be able to compete in any race (mostly).

If you are going to insist on going down this path with the rewards then this is the only way to keep everyone happy.

At the moment you are dumping on kiwis and aussies, most of whom purchased closed beta packs to support a local dev and have purchased more shop items since. I love the races and I hope this bit of feedback is taken seriously.

PS: you could even still have more than one race a day with this. And in group races you could make multiple the times like every 1/2/3 hours so a bunch of people will log on simultaneously and find random groups if they want while still keeping maximum "played time" for the league at whatever length the race is.

Hope this makes sense.

As a Kiwi playing an NZ made game I really thought coming in that we'd finally have an online game where we were on a level playing field to US/EU. Perhaps that was an entitled opinion but it's quite disappointing to see that yet again NZ is pretty much bottom of the pile when it comes to priority.

So far latency and times of races are a big disappointment.

However, the game is amazing, so well done! I haven't had this kind of enjoyment starting out a new game since WoW Closed Beta. Fingers crossed improvements for us will be on the way in the future.

Could you also move the European ones - from 6pm to 6:30pm? In the UK they start at 5pm - when all people just finish work, that 30 minutes would allow them to get back home in time. Suppose UK is a big market! I am really keen on the game, however I cannot afford to take time of work too many times :/
Europe to 7pm even and I don't live in the UK. Factor in travel times and/ or even family dinner times when you are done with work and 6pm is cutting it rather close. For me 7 would be the best for Europe.

Someone made a great suggesting about making the races in Game Time not real life time. So you have 1 hour(or whatever it is) of Game Time to do the race and once you have been logged in for an hour (or the race length) your race is up. For example Race 1 is one hour, lets say you have one day(24hours) in which to complete the one hour race. You may do it all in one session or in ten minute bursts or anything in between.

Sounds like an interesting solution.
Ascension tied to Lab is the worst thing GGG has done...apart from GGG's philosophy on Trading. Oh and Gambling Loot boxes. And selling out to tencent.

I used to love GGG. I supported to ensure GGG remained independent, now I just wish I could get my money back. -_-

not so great. people with plenty of time could use multiple accounts to do single races several times.
