Or what about just using 3 ice Nova gems all of them with increased area. Since the three novas are coming from 3 different sources, armor with cyclone and cast on critical, and double cospris, it should proc an insane amount of novas.

Might not be as much fun to see all the different spells going off, but for pure damage and efficiency it seems like it would be very smooth mapping and boss killing.

I find it annoying switching gems for bosses but you could swap out 3 conc effects instead of areas as well.

And one more question: Have you tried Cleave?

Since both weapons are hitting with every swing, with high enough crit chance wouldn't you be proc'ing more spells?

I have tried Cleave all melee skills usable with malice, I found lacerate to be the best for what I wanted to achieve with the build, If you want to use cleave to proc malice you can do that. Let me know how it turns out.

The reason for all my theory crafting questions is because I don't yet have the currency for the cospri's. I can't wait to get them because the build choices seem to be endless with these swords. I just have to sell a bow and then I can buy em...


Bottom line: What kind of Crit Chance can a well geared INQUISITOR get with all 7 power charges up?


ES Armor - Lacerate / Faster Attacks / Multistrike / Increased Critical Strikes / Increased Accuracy / Power Charge on Crit

Cospri’s - Arctic Breath / Ice Spear / GMP (switch to added cold damage for bosses)

Cospri’s - Vortex / Ice Nova / Life Leech

ES Helm (lacerate crit chance) - Enlighten / Blasphemy / Warlords Mark / Discipline

ES Boots: Herald of Ice / Ice Bite / Whirling Blades / Faster Attacks

ES Gloves (Voidbringers if I get Elreon rings) - CWDT / Increased Duration / Immortal Call / Vaal Skellies

Doryani’s Cold Belt

Diamond Ring: Accuracy / Energy Shield / % Energy Shield / Resists

Diamond Ring: Accuracy / Energy Shield / % Energy Shield / Resists

Stats Amulet: Accuracy / Crit Chance / Energy Shield / Resists



And taking the "Depth Perception" nodes for more Crit and Accuracy

Does the life/mana leech in this build come only from the curse (warlord's mark), or is there another source as well?

Boots/Curse/life leech gem (in one of the weapons, optional)

When using lacerate to proc cospri's malice, how much attack per second is needed to make full use of it? I assume whatever attacks per second is needed for 1 sword you just need double that for two.
I would like to know as well if dual wielding two cospri's with different gems is better than having something like a dorianys in the offhand.

First time doing a proc build so just reading the patch notes isn't enough for me.

Lacerate slashes twice and each hit is an individual calculation for each separate malice.

*Slash 1 rolls a crit on malice nr 1. Spells are casted only from the malice that lacerated.*

*Slash 2 rolls a crit on malice nr 2. Spells are casted only from the malice that lacerated.*

That means we proc each malice 3 times when we multistrike.

If you use a doryanis in your offhand it should work exactly the same I believe. Lacerate also states that each enemy can get hit by both slashes. Someone feel free to correct me if im wrong, but I have never been able to proc one malice using the other.

I know you've now switched to Assassin so that 10% crit chance should be enough to keep up power charges, but the way you worded it, it sounds like you've also played inquisitor.

When you played inquisitor, how were you efficiently generating power charges? Was it just by using a Herald of Ice Curse on Hit set up, or just by your Doedre's Flask?

And if so, was that enough to have permanent charges the whole map plus the boss fight?

So let's say you crit on all of them and it passes the accuracy check, have you noticed that you're getting 6 spells cast per Multistrike, or 12?

What I'm basically asking is, have you confirmed that having 2 spells in a single Malice can shoot them both with enough attack speed?

I have 5.9 attack speed with lacerate with just one Cospri's while using a Doriany's just for the ele dmg. I suppose that is enough to hit the 100ms cap since it's 2 "attacks" per lacerate right? So I would need 10.0 attacks per second on the status menu to reach 20 "attacks" with lacerate for two Cospri's, right? That's gonna be hard to get.
