[2.5] The FireFly (Burning HoT - insane damage)

he just uses 1 vaal discipline in the video. But i checked his skill tree and he has a fair amount higher %ES as well as an 18% ring.

Even with 10k es, we can still do 3-4 million damage to shaper with vaal rf.

trying a new setup with a vaal pact skill tree, shield charge instead of lightning warp, and 2 curses (flamability and warlords mark). Lost a little es, but gained instant life leech 100% of the time. It feels really good so far - moves faster with shield charge and the leech instantly heals es to full most of the time.
Shield charge also works great in conjunction with the 6l molten shell.

Some other idea's people can try out are:
-run 5/6l shield charge - faster attacks - fortify - curse on it - flamability - warlords mark
this would allow you to run discipline, or could save you from spending points on aura nodes.

Shaper and Guardians viability?

-phoenix takes a long time (immune to ignite) - died once on last attempt

-hydra isnt very difficult - deathless

-minotaur is doable with easy mods - died 4 times last attempt

-Chimera isn't a problem unless he has damage mods.


ran 3 shaper's, completed two of them. All deaths resulted from bad vortex positioning in centre area

Shaper is potentially very easy


At this point I would say the build struggles with guardians, but can do them.

testing out essence mod - currently does 10-15k damage unbuffed - procs a lot with the cwdt lvl 1 spells and hoT.

Uploaded shaper kill (1 death) - overall, fight is pretty easy. Will bring 4 worm flasks next time.
