No this would only hurt your cyclone since you need the extra base crit chance from gloves to be consistent on singletarget.

Last league in Essence, I did just this and it was fine. I have gone back and tried that setup in Standard a handful of times, and see no reason why it isn't perfectly fine.

Hey, I think improving your damage would be good. The super easy way to do that is if you don't have the 30% chance to free discharge, DO NOT USE COC + DISCHARGE. IT WILL LOWER YOUR DPS. If you don't want to recolor to 4g2b for the bv setup, just swap coc for faster attacks and discharge for another blue gem and add in an added accuracy somewhere. maddognils, can you please place the "if you don't have the 30% chance to free discharge, DO NOT USE COC + DISCHARGE" thing somewhere extremely visible in the guide? I feel this is screwing a lot of people over.

How much accuracy should I be shooting for this build and where does it let me know in my character sheet?

Hello, i'm currently lvl 90 and don't really know what to link in my voll's with it's current colours. i didn't want to reroll as i spent over 500+ chromes to get atleast 3b 3g on it. what do you think should i link in the chest? I also have 6.7k es with discipline need help getting more es :(

OP stated that Pathfinder takes the cake, and I can believe that due to how strong flasks are.

On assassin, did this sloppy Shaper run yesterday, but still 9 minutes flat. Not too shabby at all.

My build varies greatly from the original tree however. Mostly has to do with dropping Elreon rings so you can pick up T1 accuracy, then dropping the chest Additional Acc for Blade Vortex.

Mana regen becomes the stand-in for Elreon, combined with Warlord's Mark and a larger mana pool.

The discrepancy between Elreon mods (iLvl 59) and top-tier rare rolls more than makes up for the 2 points spent in the mana nodes.

I would say BiS is then essence-crafted Crit/Elem Dmg/Acc or Crit/Crit/Acc, plus side helpings of Int and ES.

There are some things i dont understand in this build

What determines how often my coc discharge procs? i find it that i have barely any crit and sometimes i have to spin for like 5 secs before i discharge.

also what procs the discharge on the cospris malice? does it need to be shield charge or does cyclone do that aswell?

also i linked a life leech gem but it isnt working sometimes? does it not apply through ghost reaver to es? i dont understand whats going on really, tried putting it in the volls and in the malice but i dont know what happened

last question, how do you guys deal with single targets? i find myself rarely doing any damage to them or not even proccing discharge sometimes, and idk what is up with leech

1) You have two ways of firing off a Discharge.

#1 is the Discharge on Cospri's WHENEVER you crit with either Shield Charge or Cyclone.

Now, for Shield Charge and mapping, your ascendancy is totally wrong. 25% chance to Crit on shield charge becomes 50% when you charge into a fresh pack of monsters - IF you took the right ascendancy (Ambush). This is what gives Assassin Cospri's its clearspeed - you only need 50% crit to blow up fresh packs.

#2 is the Discharge in the chest, which procs only when your Cyclone crits. Why 6L is important is because you very likely have crap accuracy on gear - and you are missing close to 20% of your attacks. A 6L allows you to insert accuracy and land hits and crits properly. 90% is essential for smooth gameplay. Even 85% will stutter.

Fix these two things and your gameplay will smoothen out lots. The last 2 ascendancy points also make things move much faster (bosses under 35% health are screwed basically).

The Life Leech on Cospri's will leech more because it can proc every 250ms as opposed to the chest which can only do it every 500ms. However, you're losing a lot of DPS from not using Increased AoE or Conc Effect (the latter is how you melt single targets).

Finally, the MOST important thing - you don't have the helm enchant that gives you a 30% chance to NOT consume Power/End charges. This is huge. It means whenever your Cospri's fires, your chest Discharge does nothing.

Since that is an expensive upgrade, I recommend you colour your 5L Voll's to have one more green socket and one less blue. Stick a 20/20 Additional Accuracy in there and you'll be able to kill bosses much faster. For your shield charge, put in Additional Accuracy and Incr Critical strikes.

Why aren't you using Blasphemy Warlords Mark? Do that, and dump the Life Leech gem altogether.

Once you've done a few of those things, the build will come online and you're part of the God Tier clearspeed club.

P.S. please also ditch those life flasks and roll Diamonds. Diamonds basically increase your chance to crit AND the chance for your Discharge to crit dramatically - particularly at lower levels of gear. So much of your tree is devoted to defense because of bad ES pieces, that your offense barely kills stuff. A diamond flask is like a 1c boost to that offensiveness.

How is the Pathfinder variant of this? Worth trying? Has anybody done it in 2.5?
