[outdated] King of the Forest (Crit version)

I really enjoyed the build and will enjoy it in Legacy league. So thx for it :)

One thing for the new classic build:
If someone doesn't take Point Blank there are 2% more life to grab. The life nodes around Thick Skin give only 4% each.

Another thing is the life and mana leech in the Duelist area.
Do we need the 1.2% life leech or is 0.4% enough, so we could grab 0.4% mana leech from left side and get 1 skill point? The life leech at Blood Drinker is now "from attack dmg" and not only physical dmg - this should be better now, or not?

This is the best version of the tree that I could come up with. It has comparable life to the classic version but does about 20% more damage. I dropped the marauder area, extra leech, and the King of the Hill cluster.

In Path of Building it seems that using a Diamond Flask and an Increased Critical Damage gem is better than using a different flask and Increased Critical Strikes.

Also, using Cherrubim's Maleficence seems to be a similar damage increase to using a Chin Sol, at the cost of move speed and resists.
Path of building seems to be calculating diamond flask strangely. I can get up to 82% crit but toggling my crit chance as lucky only puts me up to 90%. Anyone know what the deal is with that? Trying to play around with the lioneye's and the claw wheel and its making me indecisive. http://poeurl.com/6t5 That is what I have so far. Opinions?

As a side note the new aspect of the eagle node and the area in general is vastly better now as it all double dips. Might want to play around with it a bit more.

Edit: I also want to mention that if your accuracy and crit chance is sufficent without an ice golem you can grab a flame golem instead since the increased damage double dips for your poison very nicely.

Alright after playing around with the King of the Hill nodes I've found that if you are taking the claw cluster I can easily ditch them and grab the 30% crit chance 6% attack speed and 30% phys damage with bows new nodes by aspect of the eagle for a pretty significant gain. Seems pretty interesting, whether you'd want to do that depends how much you actually like King of the Hill and the knockback. Personally my feelings are a bit mixed as it does have a nasty habit of knocking bosses back far enough that some barrage projectiles begin to miss.

Hi, just wondering with the recent change on drillneck with the pierce chance nerf is it still viable ?
Any thoughts on the Dirty Technique cluster?

When inputting my character with all gear and tree currently into path of building that cluster shows as a pretty huge gain.
why don't you take point blank?
Would you recommend the KotF as a starter build? I won't have as much time as I want to play this league, so ideally I do not want to roll 2 builds - a starter build and KotF build. Would you say this is a good starter build?
Roth,

I played this build last league and it was my first league in a few years. I found the build very easy to play and took it to lvl 91 and was running tier 14-15 maps with no real issues. I was also doing uber lab with this build. It is a little flask intensive at times but other then that I found it enjoyable enough that I am going to run it again this league. Last league I only had about a month at the end is when I started.

Nice Thanks for the Update, I'll start off the league with your Classic Tree.

What are the gears that you will recommend at the end. I noticed you mentionned Chin Sol and Death's Opus and the Drillneck, but what about the other gear slots and flasks.

I'm just trying to make sure I dont npc an item that I will need later while trying to reach to farm in DL.

Do I also follow the gems you have in Page 1?

What about Headhunter belt?

Sorry if I'm asking noob questions, Legacy will be my second league.

Gear is the same except bow. He talked about gem setup in the post you quoted.

Headhunter is obviously good if you can manage resist elsewhere as we already use a lot of unique items.
