[outdated] King of the Forest (Crit version)
Loving the build so far.
Can anyone explain to me why no Phase Acro? I never get why people don't go for it. Are extra jewel and life nodes better? Would appreciate the explanation.. Thank you! |

" HAHA :) I did not run the numbers :) Only assumed something like that to explain my mind process. :) The main theory is: drillneck --> Drillneck +1 is a better upgrade BUDGET wise then 5l opus -> 5l Reach both cost nearly the same. but drillneck+1 is your BIS item. maybe i am a little confused cause the op say something like "opus is nearly as good as reach". --- TEMPUS FUGIT --- Last edited by derbund666#1482 on Dec 29, 2016, 10:06:22 AM

" The entire build is about avoiding spells, hits and other things with a very high movement speed and find small windows where we deliver an INSANE amount of damage. But if you're new to the Bow playstyle it might be an idea to pick it up. I'm really used to playing as a bow character. So i don't really need it. So for me some extra life/dmg with a jewel will save my life more times than some extra spell dodge. |

Phase Acro is just a very weak 4 point investment. It would've been worth 1 or maybe even 2 points, but not 4.
A 30% chance to dodge spell damage on its own is just not reliable. It might sometimes, occasionally, under very specific conditions save your life, but that's about it. Most spells in the game are either going to proc your CWDT and give you a chance to escape (if your CWDT is set up to proc at like 1k+ damage taken), or are heavily telegraphed but one shot you if you do get hit. Dodge just... doesn't really help in either scenario. Getting more avoidance for an evasion-based char sure does sound cool on paper, but if you think about which spells actually exist in the game and how you're meant to deal with most of them, it's suddenly doesn't sound _that_ good. Also keep in mind that it gives you a chance to dodge spell DAMAGE specifically, not spells entirely. Any secondary effects (e.g. freezes) are still gonna apply. Thought I'd also post my current gear and setup. I'm following the Cospri's Will version; currently level 83 and working through T13 maps with relative ease. Haven't built a higher map pool yet so I can't comment on any higher tier maps.
5.7k HP with still more life nodes to get. Not sure what to upgrade next, either Vuln Gloves or a Helm with the +2 enchantment. Any comments or inputs are appreciated. Gear:

Want to ask people running the Cospri's version this question: how's the Curse range?
Could someone make a screenshot when you're just close enough to a mob pack that half of it is cursed and half isn't? Just want to get a decent 'visual' idea of its range. I've only ran Blasphemy once and that was on a caster char with a fuckton of increased AoE. Not sure how it is normally. Last edited by M4RED#0833 on Dec 29, 2016, 11:52:04 AM

" Here you go. This is using a L20Q23 Blasphemy. You won't be cursing off screen that's for sure, which is why I want the Vuln gloves. Last edited by Castellani#2576 on Dec 29, 2016, 12:06:52 PM

"Thank you And yeah, trying the Cospri's variant is something on my mind all the time, but the range is even smaller than I thought :\ Looks pretty pointless for clearing. Still tempted to try it on bosses tho - Vuln AND Temporal for big poison damage, ye? Last edited by M4RED#0833 on Dec 29, 2016, 12:14:32 PM

" That is what I'd like to try. I just picked this up; paid way more than I'd care to admit but hoping I will notice a big improvement. |

" I'm using this amulet And running Temporal Chains + Vulnerability (Temp Chains in gloves, Vulnerability in curse on hit setup) so I double curse on hit with Frenzy. Works pretty good on bosses. Of course that should be visa versa - Vulnerability in gloves, but cannot afford them yet. |
