My build doesn't take many aoe nodes. It is ok to take some. We don't and never really needed aoe support gem with the Elementalist. We have prolif. The aoe gem is redundant. There's a few gems you can use. Depends what are your other links. And if you have 2 quill rains setup.

I'm not entirely sure how would fork work. Best way to find out is to try. I am not playing EA myself. I think, I would prefer a rare quiver tho.

fork wont hit the first target and instead hit 2 behind it. maybe ok but you would want a normal setup in offhand.
has anyone tried ssf ea, im seriously doubting my chances of getting +1 fire gem essences or quill rain.

Hey Green, was running pathfinder EA up to 79 and I swapped to your build recently mainly because I wanted to run with grand spectrums instead.

Anyway, I've so far done Normal and Cruel lab but I'm not sure what exactly my links should reasonably be. Do you think that running Ele Prolif as a gem is better than running it as an ascendancy? And why do you take Mastermind of Discord over Conflux? I don't really see what procs it aside from Vaal Lightning Trap and idk if that's really worth it.

Also, is empower 4 for single target really needed? Or is it just luxury?
And, am I supposed to use my +1 arrow quiver on my single target or AoE setup? Cos you've got yours on your single target one which confuses me slightly

EA relies on gem level. Empower is one of the gems that gives most damage. Quill rain is another thing that is highly recommended. I would honestly not do it in SSF. I think with SSF you have to play with what you are given and then can decide what to do with your drops. You can always rerol if you get the gear that u need. A good thing is that you can make Hyrri's Bite.

Your gear looks fine. I also made a Grand spectrum tree for pathfinder. But you are asking for Elementalist?

In that case I initially started with Beacon of ruin. Then I swap to using the prolif gem because it offers bigger prolif radius. However there is significant damage loss. Keep in mind I was running 11x legacy GS. It was mostly fine for clearing. Only in t16+ boss ads are VERY tough. Conflux is not 100% reliable. Overall I had 96% chance to ignite with Doryani's belt effect on flasks up.

Don't worry too much. I'd say start with Beacon of ruin and then see how it feels. It only cost 5 regrets per ascendancy point to respec. Use that if you have to. Mastermind of discord gives 25% fire pen when you use a lightning skill. I used it with Vaal Lightning trap (50% more damage). At that point I was focusing more on the boss kill potential. Vaal lightning trap is gg for 90% of builds. You can also proc effect with orb of storms or even lightning arrow, tho the last one is not ideal.

Think of it this way. Beacon of ruin gives clear speed and mastermind of discord gives damage. It really depends on what you want to achieve. If you want the Shaper kill, Beacon of ruin won't help you much...

+1 arro on single target for easy (off screen) boss targeting. Empower 4 is best in slot but Empower 3 is also great.

Drop purity of fire and don't do ele reflect maps. For general mapping don't stack more than 3 stacks per shoot. Pendulum of destruction is situational and would only make reflect worse.

Yeah I rerolled as Elementalist because playing with flasks all the time just didn't seem like it was that good.

I've swapped to 11 grand spectrums for now cos having a higher life pool is helping me stay alive more in maps and the extra damage isn't 100% needed at the moment. I'm definitely thinking I'll take Pendulum over Prolif, seems to be a way better point investment. I'm a fan of conflux mainly because of the free shock occasionally.

Also, the remade Blood of the Karui flask is really nice to have if you have a spare spot for it

But if you throw a Vaal lightning trap you have 100% shocked enemy... And it proc Mastermind for you... :)
