Race Event Season One announced!

Removing currency was a terrible idea. Custom uniques aren't bad, but removing currencies and adding a lot of niche uniques is just stupid.

Choosing only 4 times for every single race is a pretty terrible idea too. You had the freedom to choose any starting time you wanted per race and instead you chose only 4 for all races. What happens to those of us who are busy during those hours? You could've just randomized the starting hour per race and made it fair for everyone.

I was excited at first and then I saw a white coral ring for one of the prizes and was like wtf.

I mean yeah I understand that it is ilvl 100 but crafting is a nightmare, I shouldn't have to waste my currency on a prize to make it actually worth something.


The price for facebreakers is going to plummet come april lol

Seriously, the time of the races are bad for people of GMT-05:00 (eastern america), no race during the evening....

12AM Nightime, time to sleep during the week...
6AM To soon
12PM Working during the week
4PM Working again...

I was really looking forward to these races, but the scheduled times look real rough on me :(

I generally game between 10:00 PM and 1:00 AM can sometimes start earlier and maybe a bit later if I don't need to work in the morning.
In my timezone (GMT-4) the races closest to my available play times start at 6:00 PM and then at 1:00 AM or 2:00 AM

Oh well, hopefully I'll get to try half a dozen or so races anyways.

Yeah, it makes no sense what so ever. People seem to want to just enter a race, suck at it, or maybe just stand in town, and then still get "instant rewards"...

I hope GGG's reconsiders the terrible timing of these events. There is simply no time that accommodates Americans that have normal (8-5) jobs :\

Just like point rewards now was the same for currency, sure you could enter a race and not get very high level eg: "sit in town"

But it was much more profitable to give the race you're all or at the very least hit the highest level threshold otherwise you were pretty much wasting your time.
