Race Event Season One announced!

GGG you are my heros! Really awesome!

I don't like at all the prices, I prefer the orbs, but who cares?
Other games like diablo2 (one of the greatest ever) was even no rewards and ladders were very populated.

So just only existing and having fun with them are alright. And with the extra incentives of prizes, make them great.

So very thanks for doing all this thing, GGG!

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with the new races.
I even stopped playing the perma league just so I could practice for the races.

There are 2 things I dislike about this system:

- The rewards are not made for a player like me (casual). It used to be cool playing just one race a week and getting a reward for it that I could actually use on my high lvl chars. Now I have to play so many races just to get a unique... I might as well just buy it (with normal art) and save myself all the hours invested in racing...

- I'm sad to see that the race reward system is still mostly based on reaching certain levels... It's SO MUCH MORE FUN to try and push for progression! I don't want to have to stay in one area and farm it until I'm bored. It's repetitive. Not only do I think there should be a reward for killing Brutus and Merveil, I think EVERYONE should be rewarded for it, not just the first one. In an hour race, everyone who kills Merveil should get something, so there is an alternative to 'farming the shit out of coves' (just an axample, I know pros get way farther than that, but that's for me, the casual player)

P.S: I didn't expect PvP tourneys, Progression + PvP races, and Cutthroat leagues until a bit later anyway, so won't rant about them now

I think GGG missed the part where an overwhelming amount of players would show up to races because the prizes also allowed them to affect their regular characters.

I'm not really seeing these prizes motivate many people aside from super-elitist collectors.

Bleh. Design is less and less impressive as time goes on.

Good idea for system

you cannot satisfy everyone. nevertheless, the race system is another proof that GGG > Blizzard. It is really unbelievable that an indi company put this together. I just wanna pump money to their account over and over and over and over again ... keep it up GGG!

Masky got a point...for the bosses rewards etc
at least bring back the orb rewards GGG :)
