freaking lab leaking into the game under the guise of boss rework!

I agree. It's time for some kind of 'state of the lab' manifesto.
I say, add levers and secrets to many levels. There is space to add a lot of this stuff, no matter how vocal some are about it.

I'm personally pleased.

Mark my words, all of this whining will kill POE one day. Devs won't be able to add new things or new challenges because people keep crying, we can't have nice things now :(.

Don't be stupid. There ability to add anything is only hindered by their creativity and productivity. Any amount of whiners won't change a thing, they have always been ignored. same iwth good suggestions.

People who say "ohhh traps are not very ARPG like" they haven't played Diablo 1 and 2 for sure, I remember killing my mage to traps in Diablo 1.

I think path of exile lacked of environnement hazards, traps and all sort of hidden things in our maps and general act content. These things added to the game will make it a way better place.

We've always had tetris... every time you pick up an item.

I've gotten pretty good at that aspect of the game. ;)

Nonetheless, an autosort function with an ability to flag certain items as "don't move me" (a la Terraria) would be an awesome QoL addition for 3.0.

Failing that, perhaps they can include the tetris theme for us, and make it play automatically while your inventory is open.

I never got to play the original diablo's so this is pretty funny. Didn't know this.

I am personally glad if they keep adding things like this.
"It's all clearer now
And I hear her now
And I'm nearer to
The Salvation Code"
And again, the unique maps in Torchlight 1 were trap filled mazes too.

You are misunderstanding the actual statement or perhaps the statement you were referring to was not clear. Traps sprinkled around monsters is arpg gameplay with traps in it. Screens full of traps is trap gameplay more like Frogger, Prince of Persia, or Mario.

The very first Diablo was meant to be a turn based RPG dungeon crawl, later they decide to make it an action title. So in the end, Diablo became an action dungeon crawl game. And what's in all dungeons crawl type game are, RNG based: loot, monsters, maps and traps. Those are common mechanics in the genre

So every time I see people complaining about how traps are mean to them, thinking it shouldn't be in the game, I just cringe so much. It's just a main characteristic of the genre. And it's litteraly in every single game of the genre.

Same goes for a lot of other things some people complain about like, how the game can be unpredictable and unforgiving at time. Or how things are RNG based. Or even how some content is RNG gated. All these things are fundamentals characteristics of the genre and are again in nearly every single game of the genre. The whole idea behind RNG based content is to force people to grind which is again another recuring thematic of these games.

I would like to tell to those people hate these mechanics and themes, if these kind of things does not appeal to you maybe you should try other genre of video games.
