And there it is...remaking of content with Lab elements.

im not saying everyone is having fun wrong, or the game is dying or GGG sucks

im saying its no longer fun for ME and so im moving on

to answer your next question which im sure is on your lips after read that

why post? again because i spent over 2000 dollars on this game and i feel its only fair to ME and GGG to have it known why thats stopping.

anyways, moment of weakness to be posting here because i have moved on but its hard to just forget about something i was so passionate about for so long apologies for keeping the thread alive, stay awesome, cheers

edit-funny side note some people drunk dial an ex comin home alone from the bar, i post on the PoE boards, the love was so strong, sad maybe but im chuckling

Sure, except OP's reasons to leave are laughable. He saw a lever and some burning ground in one of the boss fights and is throwing a tantrum. It's actually sad to see such irrational reaction from a long time supporter.

It's also funny because traps are present ouside of the Lab already ~3 months, but most Lab-haters probaby never got to T14 to complain about it.

Expecting GGG to not re-use assets they've been creating for several months, is also unrealistic. Lab traps will spice up boss fights, GGG just need to not overdo it (and considering what we've seen so far, they've used them sparingly)

He wasn't paying attention and thought that you're being irrational for saying that you leave PoE after you saw that the traps from the Labyrinth made it through to maps to actually improve boss fight by adding new mechanic aspects...

He does have a point, as a large part of supporters expressed their view that the boss fights lack a more balanced approach, and that the state of either one shot the boss or be one shot is a huge balancing problem...

We're sorry to see you go, we hope you had enough fun for your generous support and wish you to find other games to keep you entertained - I know for sure that as soon as Star Citizen hits, my PoE playing time will certainly drop...
PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...

Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days...

Your OP implies that the issue is "Lab elements spreading to maps". I can understand that you dont like the Lab, but cant understand how a few traps in boss rooms would make you quit - exactly because you are a long time supporter.

It's not worth to ditch the whole game, for such a tiny issue.

Since you cant understand it, how is it possible to give suggestions and even diss his reasoning in the previous posts? Why every single a-hole feels entitled to force his opinion on everyone that does have something different to say? If you cant understand the why and the how, dont post your opinion, try to get a better grip of the situation. Being stubborn and narrow minded doesnt help either.

-"I dont like milk, it makes me feel like throwing up, though i dont throw up in the end i think ill stop alltogether drinking it cause i seriously dont like that feeling everytime"
-"i really cant understand this, milk has such a great nutrinional value and i also happen to like it a lot, i find your decision very dumb since your tiny issue is nothing compared to the advantages of drinking milk" proudly said the white knight

Up to this day i still find it amazing how not only you cant understand how serious of a problem that is, but you keep on giving the exact same answers with everything lab-related. Like its that simple. Its clear that you don get half the issues (if any at all), instead of giving nonsensical answers that do not help at all, try to see the problem from a different point of view, if you cant dont post because you make things worse. You disagreeing with every different view does not make a discussion, it only cockblocks it. Are you trying to change every person's view just to fit yours? Is that what the sheeps do these days? You dont get the problem/issue -> you are not fit to post about it, why you do is proof of things that will get me probated if i mentioned them. Except one, white knightism, the only true danger inside a gaming community, everything-is-fine-no-change-needed mentality holds or drives a game to the wrong direction, even if indeed everything is fine, there is always, ALWAYS room for improvement and change.

Not that your lot will understand anything of, but anyway.

Whilst the burning ground and switch type trap is not so bad, we'll just have to wait and see what other traps have been added to maps. It's those spike, dart and roomba traps that are terrible.

to see the current state of the game just try to aggro monsters to get some beyound bosses, i spent hours in maps to eventually get attacked and followed to summon bameth.

90% of the content is a snooze fest and i can understand players that got spoilt by just mass harvesting stuff that just stands around to be looted and now actually have to show some movement skills out of boss fights.

ggg could make maps destroyable, give each trap 100 million hitpoints...

What about rotating spike logs that are in game already for 3 months? Anyone quit the game because of that yet?

Burning ground in a map + lever = serious problem? Mmmkay...

I welcome the new mechanics GGG is introducing into boss fights. Making them more mechanical & tactical, as I was hoping since I've first fought Atziri. More challenge == better game. Killing scores of un-threatening skeletons all day gets boring.

I just find it very weird that burning ground has been in the game for such a long time already, but now that we have a boss with that sort of lava ground that does the exact same thing, people flip up.

oh is it because of the levers? I think levers are cool and I think that it's about time we can interact with our environnment.

Your analogy is not analogous of this topic. Try this:

-"I dont like milk, it makes me feel like throwing up, i think ill stop eating beef altogether because it comes from a cow just like milk does"
-"i really cant understand this, steaks have such a great nutrinional value and i also happen to like it a lot, i find your decision very dumb since your tiny issue is nothing compared to the advantages of eating beef" proudly said the white knight.

Edit: OP, thanks for your support. Sorry you don't have fun playing anymore. Every game has a point where it stops being fun whther that comes from burnout or the realization that it's just a waste of time or if the game changes. Good luck in whatever other game you find.

I get that you're leaving because of the lab. People (including me) just have a hard time with this boss fight being the breaking point. It's not very different than fighting Koam and fireballs start shooting from the walls or Daresso where swords make areas hazardous to stand in. Those are both traplike mechanics but apparently nobody has problems with those.

I'm with OP, not impressed it all, its all on principle, we give in to this, and little by little and well, maps will be full of traps.
