And there it is...remaking of content with Lab elements.

As a "lab hater" I must say I like to see the traps in boss rooms, anywhere basically where I fight the monsters as they ADD to the difficulty of the fight without making the fight all about traps. My favourite fight in lab must be Izaro's final form, very well done and I am happy GGG introducing the traps to some of the boss encounters, extra challenge is welcome.
That being said, as soon as I saw lava I cried together with my 10 fps I will probably get there:( This is my only issue.

As for the "white knights", guys give him a break. It is perfectly fine for someone to leave the game if he does not enjoy the new content or the direction the game is taking. GGG decided to carry on with lab elements in core game and that is the tipping point for him. He does seems like overreacting but hey, it is his decision.

idk if I'm alone here having that opinion but, when I saw the fight with the lava monster and the flame wave thing with lever and everything else... I was very exciting and I want more of this.

I am sorry, but this stupid thing about "people" saying different things and posts of people that don't get it happen often. These "people" that you talk about and can not make their mind are different people, some complain about some things and when those things change others complain that things have changed. They are VERY RARELY the same people, and when they are they complain because things have not changed the exact way they wanted them to change and think developers should just implement every thing that is in their mind. But as I said, different people, there is not a single entity named people.

I agree that he can leave the game if he does not enjoy it. On the other hand I think it is really stupid to say he is leaving because of that boss fight when it's obvious that he is leaving because he does not enjoy playing anymore. It is obvious because he has not played much as per his own admission in some time, he just was waiting for something to be able to say I was right and I told you so, I bet he was a big defender of the slippery slope fallacy. Now he thought he could at last say it and leave, only this is not what he says it is and he made a fool of himself.

Also since he decided to make a forum post instead of just leaving and stop playing, I think it's perfectly fair for anyone that comes and read the thread to point out the bullshit that is filling the original post. Note that I have not voiced my opinion on the lab in this thread, this is not the place for it. It is irrelevant here because the reason he gave has nothing to do with the lab. Also note how people who do not like the lab are calling him out too on how unreasonable he is (you are too).

The only difference is that people that like the lab hit him harder and people who don't are softer (because a lot of people still treat this shit as a war and think that even if he is leaving for stupid reasons, he still is "one of ours").

I don't get it, what is your point? He left because he did not enjoy playing anymore. No one is making him leave nor is anyone going to make him come back or make him stay away with any post in this thread. hey been a few days since i posted this so i took the time to read every single reply and alot of what was said was true

i think white knight culture in general is bad for gaming, saying any criticism is wrong just because the way "i" like the game

i didnt see much of that here, so kudos and ill admit 100 percent

ive been struggling to enjoy the game since the intro of the lab. lets not lie to ourselves and say its optional, its an integral part of character progression, and i dont like having to do it ever act.

and no, i wont even deny that i was looking for an excuse to wash my hands of the game since then.

but think about that, ive been with this game since the start and even introducing something that made me full out rage log MANY times didnt kill my love

so i will admit, it does look very much that i am over reacting. "oh noes! a simple asset being reused! oh noes!"

but its my time, my money, and knowing the feeling i get in lab, seeing ANY of that introduced elsewhere in the game, is a deal breaker.

it may seem like over reacting, and thats fine, but when you pay my supporter fees, then you can have my opinion

loved this game since the start, the people at GGG are awesome, none of that has changed im not sitting here saying "you ruined the game get cancer drink bleach kys"

im simply saying its no longer fun for me, the reason i made the post? ive spent nearly 2k on this game and i hate to use this word but ya, i feel entitled to say why im no longer interested or supporting it.

and again, as in the OP, if you are happy, great! im obviously no longer part of the demographic PoE is appealing to, and im fine with that, there is a new game comding out every single day.

have fun, enjoy, and again admitting, i was done with ascendancy forced lab, and ya, ANY expansion of that into existing content would have been the nail in the coffin for me

Sure, except OP's reasons to leave are laughable. He saw a lever and some burning ground in one of the boss fights and is throwing a tantrum. It's actually sad to see such irrational reaction from a long time supporter.

Expecting GGG to not re-use assets they've been creating for several months, is also unrealistic. Lab traps will spice up boss fights, GGG just need to not overdo it (and considering what we've seen so far, they've used them sparingly)
