Go play temporary leagues if you don't want everyone to be "invincible". It's one of the reasons why it exists. It's called a "fresh start" for a reason.

Because you dont understand the game obviously. Energy Shield scales significantly higher than life which is why people use it over life.

Increases > More

Lets say you get 200% increased ES and youre CI soo you get 15% more.

73x(1+2.00) = 252 energy shield off the implicit with 200% increased es as CI.

A belt can roll up to 51 energy shield.

73+51=124

124x(1+2.00)= 428 Energy Shield

edit - btw i skipped out on the 15% more in the formula i just added it directly to the end result if math looks off thats why.

My power creep argument. Here are the reasons I can think of, that it is needed:

1. What company would release an expansion for a game, that primarily is centered on the grind for levels and gear, without new better gear to reach for?

2. POE has added a level of difficulty to the game with T16 maps and new bosses, some of which I am sure are at a high level of difficulty, this should justify adding more powerful gear to the game. I really like the OP example because some of the bases these improve upon were crap.

3. Adding powerful gear should help dilute the mandatory gear. For instance, running a melee build without voidheart is essentially doing it wrong. This can help break out of the cookie-cutter builds and allow a wider range of people to experiment with different gear. More powerful gear will open more options, and in the end it will probably just level the playing field a little bit, I doubt the power level will feel much higher...and a non-nerfed voidheart will still be BIS so its probably a bad example.
Wow!! New gear awesome! The lvl req is high which tells me although these are powerful items it also tells me there will be much harder maps/bosses we encounter. Hopefully it isn't as stupid as Malachi .
