I'll laugh, cuz I don't trade, and you know, fuck the economy and balance currency drops intelligently.

and where is GGG on this issue.

They are using too much carrot. They need to pull out a bigger stick and start clubbing some baby lemmings, because I see a bunch of whiny bitches that need a beating.
Look, another useless lab thread. How surprising and thx mods...

B). ONE MAN runs the POE.Trade Website. The WHOLE THING. IF he ALONE leaves, the entire economy of the game collapses. He could literally KILL POE whenever he wanted.

Maybe we would need to wait a few days for a new website but poe.trade is kind of a natural monopoly. As soon as it's gone another person will overtake the whole thing pretty quickly.

But (ab)using XYZ for your fucking lab hate is a new low.
I only used enchants on helms about 1/4 of the time I ran endgame laby. I don't see why people think the only good enchant is a helm one.

Now will you please stop saying everyone agrees with you based on faulty logic?

I like the laby. I know plenty of people who like the laby. Sure they aren't spamming the forum every 10 minutes, probably because they are playing the game.
We fight to delay the end because it's the means that matter.

I agree. Probably a bunch of people chomping at the bit, actually hoping for a shot at making an xyz replacement. It would have minimal impact.

I am seeing that the longer it goes without GGG addressing their crusade, then the more desperate they become. Perhaps they will make a change, but I am thinking they will wait until they see what kind of impact 2.4 is going to have.

We will find out some stuff this weekend, and they may announce something that will put this to rest. If they don't, well then we pretty much know the answer without being told.
why there are only so few (if one can call ~50 on some enchants 'few')

- supply and demand. if there are only few ones and one HAS to buy it it is very easy to price gouge the item. people hoard items and keep the price high - why sell cheaply when people are buying anyway?
- league is ending right now.
- some enchants need good bases and are pretty much worthless on missplaced ones (Rat's Nest with 24% ground slam angle?.. Rat's Nest with +3spark?)
- aaaaand some enchants are just total flop that noone bothers listing

add to that homogenization of playstyles (ES items are pretty much the only rare items that matter nowadays - despite some then-certain individuals stating that CI died the day patch 2.0 hit.. im laughing at these people every time i see their 'knowledge' spread around) and you have your answer

[Removed by Support] it fits the lab-haters image pretty well..

From a business perspective, GGG should be concerned that they have a major mechanic in-game that causes players to become frustrated, bored, or unhappy. People would likely not quit the game if the Lab were altered, removed, or made unnecessary for ascendancy points. People may however, quit due to frustrations over the Lab and it's mechanics. One option has no risk for GGG, just wasted time on development. The other option makes a loud subset of players happier, which is good for the game as a whole.
Or not. That's the problem. This "loud subset" is divided in several different groups, and that'd be hard to make a change that will satisfy all of them (or at least most of them).
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.

The thing is, a lot of leagues or patches offered things that made community work possible. I didn't take long for people making automated reddit threads for lab-layouts, or making a website to track warbands. If there is a need for something someone will do it.

Also GGG will likely still modify the lab from time to time. They make changes to far older gameplay elements from time to time. If they see a need to change things they change it. However they will not remove it, neither can they pull an alternative way to ascend out of their noses.

I enchant Gloves > Boots > Helmets, because that is how likely it is to get the right one. And for Helmet enchants... there are a ton of them, however if you want a specific one... even more so one others might desire as well, you will find a lot less. Just search for +1 Tabulas in PoE Trade. A lot of them exist, but since most people stick to theirs and there are a lot of bad outcomes the amounts for sale are less than expected. For good helmet enchants the same is probably true.

Well there are a few more things to consider.

a) The changes might make people unhappy.
b) The changes might actually take effort to implement, resulting in less other content that would create a larger shift in happiness
c) The changes might actually not make the complaining party happy
d) The complaining party notifies that crying about something is effective (or others who want something changed) and go for the next thing

Not hard at all. Remove ascendancy from lab add alternate method. PPL who love lab for loot win. The ppl who hate lab for ascend win. GGG wins. Literally everyone wins except I suppose that truely small minority of fully ascended juggernauts tuat want it to hard on others so they can brag or something dumb

What about those of us who love loot and like the ascendencies are behind the lab? Not everyone running the lab is a juggernaut, they just have the easiest time at the moment.
