From the wording used, I assume it's the same as using Elemental Overload with spell totems (or non-RT attack totem): they don't proc EO with their hits. You have to hit (and crit) by yourself to trigger EO. So, basically, in order to cover the enemy in ashes you will have to use leap slam, cast an Orb of Storm, or any other "hit" skill, as long as you deal the hit.

This is my understanding as well, because as previously stated, you can apply curses and get Power Charge on Crit even with Ancestral bond by using self cast skills.

We can still hit, we just don't deal any damage.

yes its the same way fortify works with a movement skill. thats why i said best option to proc this effect would be using ur movement skill ;)

Even though I didn't like the changes for Berserker, specially for AW build, I actually liked a lot the changes for Chieftain.

If you go for the Hinekora + Tukohama and grab Avatar of Fire, you can have:

- 100% phys to fire damage (can run phys reflect maps)
- totems are immune to fire dmg, so you can run elemental reflect maps as well
- totems leech for you (you can run no regen maps)
- totems taunt enemies (enemies deal 10% less damage to you)
- 100% phys added as fire for 3 secs every 10 secs, 10% penentration, and covered in ash
- enemies near your totems deal 8% less damage and take 16% increased damage (stacks with covered in ash)

I still want to test it in PoB, but so far it seems pretty solid. The damage is definitely there, but it lacks the attack speed the Berserker provides. On the other hand, instead of taking 10% increased damage, with Chieftain you actually take reduced damage from enemies and your totems taunt them all, which is a huge buff for survivability.

i tried a bit around and i come to ~ 550k shaper dps (1,1kk with booth totems) with the new stats (including a GG watchers eye - without im at 440k (880k) shaper dps) with the low budged build

It feels a bit early to jump to chieftan just yet. I want to see what the following ascendancy changes are first

Hierophant
Slayer
Gladiator
Champion
Ascendant

Ascendant was what i already assumed i would swap to if it didnt change, maybe taking pathfinder and beserker nodes. Champion should be in for a big buff along with hierophant. Gladiator may help us really defensively with some big block depending on what gets changed

Even staying with beserker we can still pick up aspect of carnage, warbringer, cloaked in savagery. One warcry degens 1% per sec, two uses is 2% per sec and we have 6.2% per sec from the tree alone. Throw in a marble amulet and we get up to 7.8% regen/sec with the warcry healing 25% life when used I feel like i could comfortably sustain maybey 30 rage charges using warcry when needed to bump them back up and getting damage and attack speed from rage.

Im not going chieftan, not interested in that ascendancy for warchief. Id just make a Righteous fire or some sort of fire spell totem build

Edit: I want to see new juggernaught too before making a decision

i think duelist is the best now

champion :

First to Strike, Last to Fall: 40% increased Damage when not on Low Life

what do you think about this?

for me, its the better option i think

Since it's "increased" damage, rather than a "more" multiplier, it's rather weak ;d.

Also, we haven't see the champion rework yet, i'm pretty sure it's going to be stronger than it is right now.

ok i dont want to go chieftain dont like this
so, after new testing around with PoB for the Chieftain, i come this dmg number with GG rings and Amulet:

Low Budged Shaper Dps: 900k dps (1,1kk Dps with GG Watchers Eye)

Advanced Budged Shaper Dps (Blood Magic with Tukohama): 800k dps

atm i think the Advanced will be the better choice (wich means: upgrade as soon as possible to it) because we loose our life/MANA warcry (the mana gain was so good). And with the bloodmagic we dont need any Mana. because with chieftain we have no mana gain. only reg and maybe mana flasks...meh

i put the new modifier from the chieftain (100% inc fire dmg and 50% phys to fire) onto my shield to calculate with these new stats correctly: Path of Building
