Enchantements % increased damage and DoTs

are you sure that the aftershock is the same hit done by the first attack when you use the skill? You use "EQ" skill, it spawns a delayed aoe after the main strike. Aftershock is not the EQ main strike, otherwise an aftershock should spawn an aftershock, creating an infinite loop.

make sense?

here is quote of rory for Static strike, i believe it's similar enough.
"
The explosion is, as per usual, entirely separate from the Melee Attack. It rolls its own Damage and has its own modifiers. It deals Melee Attack Damage in an AoE. Even if the Melee swing deals zero Damage (ex. Blocked), the explosion still hurts

For this reason, the "more and less" damages of the skill itself ( aftershock deal x% More, explosion deals X less) cant double dip on thoses skills for the separate effect. Well so it also means that all modifiers are calculated separately for each effect. So duration modifiers of the second effect arent modified by the first effect.

My previous statement was a bit dumb:
"

for earthquake, the aftershock is not earthquake itself so there is big differences between first hit and explosion. I dont know how duration works in this case. However poison is a part of EQ and of aftershock so maybe it's reduced on first strike but not on after shock or similar stuff! Very tricky to test.

Both effects have duration tag but they are separate, damage and duration of aftershock arent modified by the first hit. So duration is reduced and damage is improved on both, without double dip.

so with 30% reduced Earthquake Duration enchant:

Does it reduce aftershock- poison duration? Or poison on the first strike? or both? tututut... if we follow the separate effect rule, the enchant doesnt change the duration of poison on the aftershock but it reduces the duration of poison on the initial earthquake strike.

In fact, my previous statement was not dumb at all \o/

In the case of flicker damage enchant, there is only one effect: flicker, so the enchant applies to the whole skill including dots ( dots arent a separate effect, dots are a skill damage)
I will never be good but always I try to improve.
