The Ascendency Labyrinth - My Conclusions so far and how to solve the Problem!

For the sake of those who actually want to talk about how the Labyrinth can change to fix the problems people have with it, please stop going in circles.

You can't convince every person that the Labyrinth is fine, or convince every person that the Labyrinth needs fixing, so the best you can do is make it so everyone enjoys the compromise (whatever that compromise ends up being).

To suggest that there is not a problem with the Labyrinth is nonsensical, because apparently many people have complained about it. Equally so it not fair to request the Labyrinth be butchered, because many people also enjoy it in its current state. But's not impossible to have the best of both worlds, so we may as well try and figure out how to make that work.

Arguing about whether or not it should be changed is ridiculous, though. It does, though not as much as 'lab haters' want it to, and not as little as 'lab lovers' want it to.
Nah they should stay because they point out a critical part of the "labyrinth haters" argument which is flawed. That being refusing to cope with a situation that your build cannot handle, even when you know what the problem with your build is. That entitlement at its finest. "I shouldnt have to change anything in order to do something" is a stubborn mindset.

Boy i love how the forums has become a place where people cant even take criticism and refuse to acknowledge facts.

See the problem here with your "suggestions" are they are non-issues based entirely off personal feelings, they arent based off FACTS.

Notice how the majority of players issue with Labyrinth was having to run it multiple times over multiple characters in order to get their Ascendancy and not complaining about it being rewarded in the labyrinth ? GGG made it soo permanent league players didnt have to run all the trials over all their characters and they also made it soo players in new leagues only had to do it once per league. Those players got listened to because they had a reasonable request, they werent bitching about a non-issue they were complaining about a valid problem which was potentially running trials hundreds of times over.

There are only a HANDFUL of valid complaints which are easily solved by being run by someone else (this is similar to the crafting situation with masters which they havent changed). They should not change something that is NOT broken because someone personally dislikes it which is the case in the large majority of labyrinth threads and comments about the labyrinth.

Havent ever played an actual platformer in your life have you ? Labyrinth is nothing like platformer games. Your arguments automatically invalidated when you use such hilariously bad comparisons.

"Its boring and i dont like it" doesnt give them any reason to change it to your personal preferences. If something isnt broken, dont fix it. Labyrinth isnt broken and theres no reason why they should accommodate a vocal minority who personally find it "boring".

I have, shame that how it seems you never played and dont know a thing about it, as lab part of POE is definition of platfomer games with timed movement around obstacles and small puzzles, same fucking gameplay.

Its boring and its because it doesnt belong to arpg game, and belongs to a different gender. Thats why its boring, and why it needs to be fixed. Yes lab is broken, as it is a platformer game that a lot of people dont like playing. The reason a lot of people play arpg games is not to play some platform arcade puzzles, not to play racing, not to play card game or some other bullshit, but to play a fucking arpg with killing monsters and getting loot. And read the thread if you want to comment in it so you dont look with your post so much wrong and out of place and illogical. Get used to it that people dont like the lab because its totally different gameplay to poe and every other arpg in diablo style out there ever made. And that this type of thread will not change until GGG fix this problem in one way or another.

I have tons of platformers on my steam account and multiple classic arcade games on disc, its nothing like labyrinth at all.

Uh maybe you havent played many ARPGS but traps are a pretty classic feature in ARPGS. Torchlight being one of them, in fact Torchlight 2 is probably where they drew alot of inspiration from for the Labyrinth as they have burning grates, secret treasure rooms, etc.

Also, it isnt "different gameplay" from Path of Exile. Path of Exile is an unfinished game that isnt even HALFWAY through its content development. They have 10 acts planned and they plan on stream lining the game into one giant play through at that point soo you saying that "oh it isnt very poe-ish" is invalid because the game is still in constant development and we arent even playing the full game. You cant tell the developers what is or isnt poe because the game isnt even finished and sorry to say, their vision for the game is more important that what you personally think path of exile should be.

And I played platform games from commodore 64 to this day (if you are even that old to know what commodore is). I guarantee you, you know very little about platformers or how many you played on steam, as evident with your posts

There is no arpg game on the market with traps like in lab (i played them all from diablo 1 to sacred, titan quest, TL to PoE). In fact TL2 had optional side areas with some puzzles. But the fact is it was fully optional content, and runic where smart and said it them selves, they know that not all people like puzzles and similar things that is not normal for arpg games, so they made them 100% optional. And I fully support that, and was glad to be a close beta tester for tl2 also to give feedback about it.

POE is a finished game, when it hit 1.0 and released. Everything after that are expansions and additional content. POE was marketed as a arpg game in diablo style, not some stupid platform trap hybrid. They always planed to have a finished story with act 4 but did no have time and money to implement it with release. They will add acts as long people support them, and think out new things as they go. So again your wrong even here.

So, fact is, lab is different than PoE, and all other arpg games, its not optional content, so all this facts are the reason why so many people dont like that crap and want it to be fixed. They should do what runic did with TL2, 100% and make all type of gameplay that is not a arpg be totally optional content. And also even that optional content in TL2 was not even close to POE trap crap.

I like how you literally just ignored one of the ARPGs i listed that has similar things to labyrinth and even mentioned thats probably where GGG drew inspiration from because its a highly praised ARPG. [Removed by Support]

Also "optional content" LOL

Labyrinth is optional content, even though Torchlight is littered with traps in their mapping system. top lel.

Feel free to continue making stuff up, people who have actually played the games know better. Not going to respond to you anymore from this point forward. I find it hilarious how someone googles something and thinks theyre an expert on a game theyve never played.

Im not going to bother with arguing with you, infact im just going to ignore your existence because you do this every single time you try to "argue" with someone, quite frankly its pathetic.

EDIT: lab is not optional content, it was stated several times by GGG themselves. And I see you didnt played tl2 that much, as map system doesnt have lab type of trap section that you need to finish to progress. So many wrong things in your posts that you should better just stop.

Can you guys please stop derailing this thread? Thanks.
Ok, as that is now finished, lets go back on topic as I had another suggestion/question.

What about that pushing cart mini game to be a replacement to the trap part of lab? I actually never played it, as I just want to finish the lab as fast as possible so dont do any side areas. How does it work, are there traps in that part? How I understand you need to be near the cart so it moves slowly, but at the same time you are attacked by monsters?
