Mechanical Questions Thread
Never used those jewels, but based on wording it sounds like you have to have those allocated.
Passives granting Lightning Resistance or all Elemental Resistances in Radius also grant an equal chance to gain a Power Charge on Kill also meaning "as well as". Lightning resist grants chance to get charges on kill, as well as resists. And you can't have resists without allocating it |

Question about Hopeshredder Ranger Bow
Does [400 Cold Damage taken per second per Frenzy Charge while moving] counted as Damage Over Time? If it does, could we see how this affect our character in anyway? Because I checked it with some other modifiers that interact with DOT taken, and I saw no changes, means that this damage is not DOT? |

Hi I have some Lightning Strike questions
* Does Increased Area modifiers apply? Also can somebody check my calculations about Damage conversion [lets assume 100 basic physical damage, 1 level gems]? * Lightning Strike skill: 50 Phys + 50 Light * LS + Added Lightning Damage: 50 Phys + 50 Light + (1-8) Light * LS + Added Fire Damage: 50 Phys+50 Light+25 Fire * LS + Phys To Light: 50 Light + 25 Phys + 35 Light * LS + PtL + AFD: 50 Light + 25 Phys + 35 Light + 25 Fire * LS + Weapon Elemental Damage: 50 Phys + 50*1,35 Light * LE + PTL + AFD + WED: 25 Phys + (50 Light + 35 Light + 25 Fire)*1,3 * LS + Physical Projectile Damage: (50 Phys + 50 Light)*1,3 or (50 Phys)*1,3 + 50 Light Also, is Ancestral Call or Multistrike a good support for LS? " Lightning Strike has no area component (it has a melee part and a projectile part, both only hit single targets). Increased Area modifiers will not have any effect, unless you somehow make the skill have an area effect (for example with the Melee Splash support). " I am going to trust you that you got the numeric values of all relevant modifiers right as I'm not really in the mood for checking everything. In that case, all of your calculations are correct. In the last case, the former is correct: both physical and "physical converted to lightning" damage components are affected. Note that the PPAD support only affects the damage dealt by the projectiles, not by the initial melee hit. Also in all cases keep in mind the 25% less damage modifier to projectiles. " Sorry, this is outside of the scope of this thread (and my experience as well). Last edited by Abdiel_Kavash#5296 on Feb 14, 2018, 8:52:06 AM

" Yes. It is affected by anything that applies to Damage over Time Taken. |

For the purpose of "(bonus) per (type) item equipped" modifiers (e.g. Blasphemer's Grasp, Hidden Potential), do you need to meet the requirements to equip the item for it to count?
If I put on a piece of armor, then lose strength so that I can no longer wear it (red background), does it still count towards those modifiers? More importantly, if I equip a body armor, then put on Bringer of Rain, does the body armor still count as "equipped" even though it can't be used? Bonus question: do Abyssal Jewels socketed in your items count? (I know that flasks, jewels in your passive tree, and the alternate weapon set don't count.) I have three questions, so far I think that the concept of getting "an item with 4 engarses" could be valid, can not be placed skill gem? The ring clearly says "consumes 4 assistance gems" ....
Assistance linked to what skill? since the assistances work when they have link with the ones of ability. According to read in the assistance gems "place it in an engir of item connected to an engar that contains a skill gem" Is my misinterpretation or is there a clear contradiction ???? How will they be linked? for left space to weapon skill in space of equal sector and / or skill in gloves ?, or space right to weapon skill in respective space and / or skill in boots ??? While I link one, it is absorbed, but I want an assistance of another "color" allows me to change it according to the gem ???? or should they all be of a single color ???? .... I do not want to waste the ring on the divine button .... I hope this clarifies that as the rules appear, the assists could not be used since there is no link to attend. I look forward to an answer that clarifies the panorama, I have a couple of ideas but I can not make the decision given the "detail", thank you. I have been testing the ring and I wanted to attend brand gems with it, but it reached the maximum and was not consumed, so I reaffirm that it will only consume assistance ... but not being linked to gems of any ability, no they will attend !!!! they must correct that. Assist single gems do not work if they are not linked by "engar united" be this graphic or implicit as it is intended by the ring in question. I'm still waiting for updates and clarification regarding the effective use method, thank you. Regarding that it does not matter the% of the gem, it is valid to interpret that the stat added by that% is ignored when the gem is consumed ?, in other words it is wasting a gem 20%, only the first level is imported to dry without the improvement ???? sry my poor english no native idioma. |

" There are forums in different languages to make it easier to ask questions and understand answers - flags top right of the page. Don't mean to be rude, but 90% of what you wrote makes little sense :/ Assuming you are asking about The Hungry loop mechanics - it's all explained in wiki: Link to Wikipedia |

" The support gems consumed by The Hungry Loop support the skill gem in the ring. The socket remains available after the four support gems have been consumed. “Please understand that imposing strong negative views regarding our team on to other players when you are representing our most helpful forum posters is not appropriate.” — GGG 2022
