[2.6] The Curse Whisperer - Tri-Curse CI Whispering Ice Elementalist - Viable for Everything
" Not only we convert all cold damage to fire, with AoF we can't even deal cold damage. So no.
LOL sorry my bad
I meant 0.2 fire damage leech as life implicit roll
" I believe it was told that Block is way better than 0.2 leech. That's like 5% of the normal leech, so totally not worth it.
thank you for the answers.
good to know that. | |
I've been playing this build and it's going better than any other build i've ever played.
I was just wondering if you guys think that 3.0 will hurt this build at all, i know ignites probably arent a huge part of the dps so it could be alright, not sure though.
" well, the aoe nerf hurt a little bit, but not too bad. I dont think there will be further aoe nerfs. so the only possible nerf that could hurt this build would be leech/vaal pact nerfs. it it's hard nerfs, those could fuck this build in the butt. but such a vaal pact nerf would also bend over 70-85% of all builds. there's just really no point in discussing potential nerfs. we'll have to wait and see what GGG comes up with.
" Good idea! I didn't think of that. TC is indeed not very useful against the Shaper. It slows down his Slam animation and gives you a little more time to prepare, but chill immunity is better. " Quite the opposite: pop Granite+Basalt and DO NOT MOVE. You get 55% phys mitigation from the flasks + 13% LESS phys dmg from AA (when not moving) and the Slam only hits you for about 5k, plus you can BLOCK it with the staff too (the new 18% mod rocks). Only leap away when you are out of flask charges. WM gets moved to the Orb curse setup but not removed. See the Boss Guide. " We don't do any cold damage, but even the 0.2% fire dmg leech vaal mod is not good. 18% block is by far the best mod we can get. Blocking every 6th hit on average (including things like the Shaper Slam) is priceless. " You are using only 1 curse (WM aura). The curse link in your chest only works against ranged attackers and only half of the time. You need Doedre's Damning or Whispers of Doom to start using Enfeeble, that will reduce the incoming damage significantly, and with it the chance of getting frozen. Remove TC until you can afford to use 3 curses (i.e. have both Doedre's and Whispers of Doom). Carry an anti-freeze flask with you, it's good even when your gear is finished. You want it for the strongboxes in any case. " Your gems are very low level, not ready for endgame currently. You can definitely take the cheaper path, level them to 20, then vendor for 20q and re-level, but you can't do anything serious until they are back at lv 19-20. You also saved a couple of skill points in the tree by trading 20 Int for 10 Dex in two places. So you lost 40 Int to get 2 skill points. Bad idea. You have an extra node near Snowforged, drop that, gain at least 1 more level and fix your tree. The golems should be either both in the same CWDT link or both self-cast. Right now you get 2 Ice golems from CWDT and have to manually cast the Flame golem a lot. Too much work and lost efficiency. The cheap method of getting RRRG gloves or boots is described a few pages above, or you can simply put that link into the helmet. " 6k tooltip with golems and Pendulum is too low for T16. 8k ES is semi-OK, but I'd recommend 8.5k. Both problems can be solved by getting more Int. Sacrificing 40 Int for 2 points is a bad idea. Your staff is also 16%. No reason not to have 18% unless you are short on jewellers to make it 6S. And get your gems to 20/20. " SWEET 4-mod jewel there! )) Lv 21 Discipline is very cheap in the current meta. 29 Int chest is kinda sad. It's a good regalia, just not for this build. You should be able to get something with high Int and then sell that one to cover the expense. Your other items are good. " Only if it has good Int on it. I'm not sure about 25 Int. But this one is most definitely better than Astra: " Make your characters public. Last edited by Kelvynn on May 8, 2017, 3:09:52 PM

" Except you don't have the str and dex you need... (the 16% will apply to the low str/dex you happen to have and won't increase them enough to use the level 20 gems.) Last edited by Graiaule on May 8, 2017, 5:20:44 PM

" indeed. and we should not forget that the shaper (and all guardians) have 80% reduced curse effectiveness instead of the usual 60%. so a 21/20 temp chains slows the shaper by a whoopin 8(!) percent.... " even this very juicy talisman has 30-40 less base int than astra; plus you lose something like 3-4 passive points to take str/dex nodes... and ofc you lose 2% from perandus since you have one unique less. as I analyzed in great detail some pages ago, the amulet ranking is "+1curse astra > a very well rolled three rats or greatwolf tali > ordinary astra > low rolled three rats tali".
