[2.6] The Curse Whisperer - Tri-Curse CI Whispering Ice Elementalist - Viable for Everything
@Kelvynn When you update the guide, will there be any changes to gear/gems/passives (aside from enlighten and the golem)? I'm not sure if I should wait till you update or just start now :P
Edit: I tested the Ice golem and I get around 300 extra damage on Icestorm from that. Since cast speed doesn't work with Channeling, I guess that's the new golem? Edit 2: Will we still use Item Rarity Support? Edit 3: Damn with these edits lol, I tested SR+CwC and my average damage went up. I replaced Spell Echo and Item Rarity, so it's not by much. I can also remove enlighten and add any skill (you couldn't have any extra skill before so +1 to that), and if I replace Lightning Golem with Ice Golem my damage also goes up quite a bit. I'm at 4300 (4900 with Ascendancy buff) on my hideout, no Elemental Overload, quite bad gear, and not 20/20 gems (my SR is lvl 9 lol). So I should call this a pretty good buff. Edit 4: So getting 3R+1G for the setup on the gloves will take me an average of 1000 chromatics. So I think it's way better to get 10c on chromatics, use Vorici 3R, get an almost guaranteed blue socket to put whatever blue gem you want, and get 1B 2G 1R on the helmet, which is way easier. Excuse me, using enlighten isn't relevant anymore ? And the same for lightning golem ?
And why is your damage so low ? I have 5500 only with fire golem and my gear is worse than yours, with all buffs I get 8600+ Last edited by old_nihilist#2560 on Jan 4, 2017, 7:37:58 PM

" CwC casts at the same speed, always, I believe. So having more cast speed is useless. And since SR uses, for me, 11 mana while my regen is 40+, then as long as I have 11 mana I will be always able to cast it forever. You have Perandus, you are using all the supports (remember im using SR+CwC) and you have Izaro's Turmoil. Last edited by Levirael#2580 on Jan 4, 2017, 7:40:45 PM

" Are we talking about witcher build or marauder ?) |

" If i'm not wrong both should be using SR+CwC, it's jsut that the witch build hasn't been updated (yet). |

Another advantage of SR+CwC is that you can do hexproof maps quickly. Just don't facetank unnecessarily and you are good.

Oh my goodness, I've just collected all items for this build and now I recognized that it is not relevenat anymore, niiiice )

" The build is still the same, at most you will need to use 10c or so in recoloring some sockets. Edit: And this build works perfectly. The SR+CwC is just another version of it. Last edited by Levirael#2580 on Jan 4, 2017, 7:59:37 PM

" Cast speed still affects SR though: a. It allows for a smoother movement while channeling, to sweep across the screen. b. Don't forget there is another use for SR other than CWC - it applies a fire penetration debuff, up to -24 in 8 stages. I believe how fast those get applied is affected by the SR cast speed. That's a lot of added damage! I don't know which is better, ice or lightning, but looking at the displayed DPS doesn't tell the whole story. |

" I go from 0.38 to 0.34 with lightning golem. Which means that you can get to the 8 stages in 0.24s less time. Having in mind that almost everything dies in around 1s, and that you need around 2s to get to max debuff, I think an extra 300dps at min is way better. EDIT: It's not 300dps, it's 300 average damage. Which is, basically, a lot more than 300dps. Last edited by Levirael#2580 on Jan 4, 2017, 8:30:05 PM
