" Dude I just saw that you reduce 1 Fertile Mind Cobalt Jewel from your tree. what did u replace that with? Also, if that isn't a mistake kindly update your jewel image page too inside the gear section. |

Maybe its was answered in one of the pages but why not Hypothermia support gem?

" Nah, don't bother with Skyforth. I even updated that question in the Q&A. I haven't tried it myself, but the feedback from my friends who have is negative: Skyforth will let you down too often, you will get stunned at the worst possible time. Combined with zero Int and resist, it's just not worth the 5 points you can save on it. You just spend those points compensating for the loss of Int, ES and resists and get pissed when you die to a stun. For that amount of currency, you can upgrade your gear in much better ways. Emp Mastery - yeah, that is BiS. But I've already stated my position on it: I'm not going to support a flawed design and pay 'taxes' to the guy monopolizing the market. The faster GGG gets rid of this design the better. If this aug becomes available to everybody through the actual gameplay then I'll include it. But it's not needed, you can do everything in PoE without it. " I'm going to include this in the Q&A instead of repeating the same answers over and over: 1. US costs only 5 skill points. Not 10, not 12, just 5. All other nodes on the way to it are good. 2. Valyrium + 5 points will not compensate for the loss of Int/ES/DPS/resists (or 1 curse) caused by the switch to it. " Because: 1. Hypothermia is weaker than any of the DPS support gems we already use (it's 39% MORE dmg, while the weakest gem we use is CD: 44% MORE + 10% increased dmg). 2. Hypothermia does nothing against chill immune targets. That's 100% of the endgame bosses in PoE now. None of them can be chilled. " The Fertile Mind near the Scion start at lv 91 has been replaced by the Izaro/cobalt near Ghost Reaver at lv 92. It's a much better thing to grab, and it's worth waiting 1 level. You can always get the Fertile Mind at 91 and then switch to the better one at 92 too. The jewel placement map has been updated to show both. Added the questions about US and Hypothermia to the Q&A section. Last edited by Kelvynn#6607 on Oct 10, 2016, 1:32:13 PM

any idea what a +1 curse astramentis is worth on Essence softcore? I just got one - and I'm really wondering how to price it.

" You got one? OMG OMG you are rich. :) It's worth as much as you are not afraid to ask for it. Consider this: the chance of rolling that vaal mod is 1/100 (that's assuming that they are evenly weighted). The price of an uncorrupted Astramentis is almost 1 ex (or even over 1 ex if you want one with good stats). So technically, its price should be 100 ex. Then again, it's a temp league, not a lot of people carry that sort of cash there. In the Prophecy league, where they were much cheaper, I saw one sell for 40 ex INSTANTLY (with a very good roll). In Standard, I had a 150 ex offer on mine (but I don't need 150 ex in Standard, I'll keep my Astra :)). Unless you need the currency urgently, you can sell it very well. " I just have 1 already on standard, and I kind of played enough whispering ice for the league, so decided to just sell it. It was worth that much in prophecy? Lol. I bought mine for 3 or 4 ex in prophecy. :P |

" Early in the Prophecy league, Astras were 1-5c, you could make a +1 one pretty cheaply, or buy one. But that didn't last very long. The 40 ex sale was about half way thru the league. The guy initially posted it for 10 ex (but not buyout, just gathering offers), I offered him 15, he said somebody else went 20, and then another guy offered him 40 and he took that offer. He probably could have gone higher if he wanted to wait longer. And btw, I don't really understand the prices in Standard. If you can buy a Mirror for 60 ex, then why would anybody pay 150 ex for anything? But that's Standard for you. Last edited by Kelvynn#6607 on Oct 10, 2016, 2:01:27 PM

So how does +cold damage actually help? Since Pyre converts 100% of cold to fire (I'm thinking in terms of the passive +cold/fire dmg and the izaro jewel). Does it increase the cold pre conversion then convert that to fire?
| |
" When damage is converted from one type to another, it takes advantage of the dmg modifiers for both types, i.e. the cold-to-fire conversion double dips into both cold and fire modifiers. Snowforged and Izaro's Turmoil become extremely beneficial. Last edited by Kelvynn#6607 on Oct 10, 2016, 2:14:24 PM
