When Chris says that lab haters are a minority, how right is he?

i dont get the point why they make labyrinths one life only. its like "OH YOU DIED? HERE BEGIN FROM START AGAIN". and thats very frustrating and kills all the fun. Even more since this is true for non-endgame labs. whoever designed this never played the game himself. even end-game maps give you 6 attempts/portals.
Idk if the haters are the minority. I can only say that I like the lab but cba to post my opinion in every lab thread. It's even worse because the same handful of haters seem to circlejerk their opinions in every thread.

But if a significant fraction of players actually hate the lab GGG should consider to remove the Asc points from it.

I agree with Sa-Re... basically he's saying everyone should have zero skill miner builds that trivialize bosses.
The real hardcore PoE players and the elites sit in town and zoning in and out of their hideouts trading items. Noobs that don't know how to play PoE correctly, kill monsters for items. It's pure fact, it will never change.

The lab is terrible. We know it. Everyone knows it. Most the ppl do it just for the ascend points. Some others do it for enchants. A few more even farm it for lootsplosion at end. But nobody farms lab for the actual lab. Nobody is going omg I love traps and instant deaths I must have moar of that. You can gloss over a problem with rewards and requirements and shiny things but in the end its still a problem and that is leading to players leaving.

Yeah, well, it's hard to believe anyone can love that fermented herring thingy that smells of sewage and looks like boiled rags but there you go. I have absolutely no surefire way to convince someone liking something that he's wrong if nothing else gets hurt in the process, got nothing solid to stand on in that argument.

Eeenyway, the premise "you like something only if you farm the stuffing out of it" isn't holding, you can't eat cake all the time and there's a bunch of stuff in this game people like but aren't doing because raisins, usually because it's impractical.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
