Why can bows have 6 sockets, anyway?

Good question, op. However, the issue would have more value if you weren't so jealous of what archers get in the first place. ;-)

Or just give two handed weapons two implicits (or a double implicit). That would balance out their lack of off hand bonus.

6th socket is for Portal. Unless it's linked, then it's for some akward support with 100% multiplier.

I feel like its a decent case for giving 2h weapons an offhand slot tbh. not saying it should block, but a stat stick of some fashion.

Add Banners. A back attachment as Quivers are. No sockets but a variety of effects and magic/rare/unique versions. Can be used by two handed weapons and if you don't mind giving up block and three shield sockets, by one handed users, too. Could thematically boost Auras, War Cries, Minions and similar support effects.
