Why can bows have 6 sockets, anyway?
If you dual wield, or use a 1h + shield, you get two sets of item mods, but only 3 sockets in each hand.
If you use a two-hander, you only get one item's worth of mods, but you can get a 6-link. Why do bows (which, bing ranged, already give you a massive advantage) get to have the best of both worlds? Two sets of item mods from bow + quiver, AND the possibility for a 6-link? Why not 3 sockets on bow and 3 on quiver? I don't expect it to change at this point, but isn't this a pretty massive advantage for archers over everyone else? Last bumped on May 26, 2016, 7:54:06 AM

probably because it makes more sense realistically? When your dual wielding, you have one hand on each weapon, versus 2 hands on a two hander. It requires more hands, thus it makes sense for those 2h weapons to have double the sockets. Bows also require two hands to use, plus you dont sit there holding an arrow quiver in your hand.

" Quiver my english sux.

" I like this explanation. Also, One-Handers are going to have 3 sockets each. We can consider all 1 handed weapons/wands/and shields to be "One Handers" A "Two-Hander" should be equal, ergo 6 sockets total. Bows are considered 2 handed weapons, so 6 sockets. A quiver is akin to just another accessory you get to wear if you are wielding a bow. KMGL Guild: /3193350

" Ghetto paint quiver " thanks XD |

Quivers should be an aesthetic item, nothing more. Archer-types get a huge advantage in that they get way more stats from em'.
