he mumbled something with 75%... edit: someone from reddit explaied it to me: it's about "lvl75 enchants in 2.2.3" which basically means a "uber lab". --- pvp died the moment poe stopped being a game for competitive players when ggg removed the "free for all" - loot. from what i read, pvp fans also left because at that time there were no pvp improvements coming. ggg really tried hard to get them back with greendude and others helping alot but no "die hard" pvp fan re-joins a non-competitive game just for the pvp part. ggg wanted to go casual and aim for world domination and that includes catering to the masses, scrapping pvp is the logical conclusion. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! Im a 2 years old player in PoE and most funny thing in this game to do is "double beyond" maps with reversed knockback cyclone for me. Because, this is the real action. Not like a labyrinth trap sh*t or something. Pure madness and chaos all we need to see.

the things that you should focus on is that poe pvp is more complicated and deep if its backed up by GGG than anything dota or lol can offer.

" For the record, flying out a guy who (self-admittidly) doesn't know the first thing about HLD is not "trying hard". No offense to anyone, I am simply stating facts. The only thing they ever tried to fix was LLD, and at one time they admitted that. Now they are acting like they tried and tried, when they haven't done anything in 500 days. They need to carve out a week, fly out Icedeal or someone else that actually has GLOBAL knowledge of PVP and just listen, talk, and put pen to paper. Poe is a nice game, but without a decent pvp mod, it will die soon. And it's not hard to improve existing pvp to do it really fun. Some ideas. - when a ranger uses enfeeble he doesn't reduce enemies damage more than 30% and, taking account that he would have blocked dodged evaded with or without using enfeeble on enemy, the final penalty for enemy is perhaps about 15% only. But when a ranger is cursed with temporal chains, he loses et least 70% of his main skill capability. So don't allow it in pvp. - all builds and skills should be viable in pvp, so try to deactivate mechanics that destroy builds. For example, frost walls need to be pierced, so don't allow it in pvp, because it excludes all non piercing builds.... -don't allow in pvp capabilities that opponents can't counterbalance with any specific build. For example ok for reducing enemies resistances because opponents can overcap their resistances, but don't allow penetrating resistances in pvp because opponents can't do anything vs it. -Glass canon builds don't respect pvp philosophy i think.For me pvp philosophy should be: if i build seriously a char, whatever the skill, with a decent gear, i have a chance to win in arena if i use well my skills. So chars who come in 1vs1 arena without 75 all elemental resistances and 75 chaos resist should get a proportional penalty, which could be increased life degeneration for example. Endgame weapons should be nerved in pvp: their damages shouldn't perhaps exceed more than about 15% of those of a decent weapon. For example, there is a gap between 600 dps endgame bows and 400 dps decent ones. 600 dps ones should be nerved to about 470 dps in pvp...... - More generally the max dps applied by a dueler on 1 shot should be nerved if the opponent has a decent life (or mana or es) amount, due to his class. The "1 shot kill capability" destroys the pvp fun. The way to solve it is perhaps for example to limit the life (or mana or es)lost by an enemy per hit to 1/5 of his life whatever the damages applied.....Life mana or ES regen should be scaled too. - compare the lvl of duelers before they come in arena: don't allow lvl 100 vs lvl 35 for example.....max lvl difference between duelers should be perhaps about 20 lvls, not more. To conclude, ggg developers want earn money and it's legitimate, because they work hard. But abandon pvp is not the nice way to earn money for them: whatever the quality of a game killing monsters with endgame gear always finish by being annoying, sooner or later if it's not spiced by pvp's challenge. pvp is a quite unlimited in time source of pleasure for a gamer: i refer to hlf2 deathmatch for example. what a joke to play it after a hard working day, for some minutes or some hours......the developers would just have had to create some new maps each month for cheap to earn money regularly and for a long time....a nice pvp game is like a nice sport: a quite eternal funny activity. " You can t be more far from truth. Greendude was LLD guy, he even said in pvp forum he know nothing about hld and Pvp people got grumpy about the level 28 only pvp patch. Most people left pvp because nothing been done for hld and all balance pvp had was for lld. People who left were all mostly high level pvpers and there is not much players doing LLd away from temp leagues. All what pvpers are waiting is HLD balance but it will not come I guess.
