Just When The Game Had Roped Me Back In, I Think I’m Done Again
Well its unfortunely to hear that OP and my advise is dont play. I have done a same few already and i only mentioned few games to keep it short as possible. Diablo 2 / loD. I got a same feel but only in a way that i did not wanna play competitive way anymore and higher end gaming well it did not require a lot to have to ability to run everything what it did offer. No fancy runewords for ubers or anything. it was nicet obeing invited to a guilds like EF, but shortly left because i felt i want with my friends even there was a chance that kill me for fun. They liked to PK people while like carrying ''trough''and levelling them or just pure pvp for a winner takes all loot.
Then also a little differend game like world of warcraft or FPS games(ET,Americas army was cool), but with a WoW a reasons was differend i start it in classic and i loved TBC expansion and still do. I have to agree with the ''sidtherat'' what he is saying in here. in many games what i have play it in my experience and while reading a forums or how a game changed to simplicated stuff to challenge like in a WoW did o and huge set back from me towards a Blizzard to keep they product as intented to done and changed a stuff so much easier just because a people whine because they believe are being such a snowflakes even a feedback is good to have, still agame should never build from what a lower base of gaming community things about it otherwise it will give a kill blow to a game itself and ''above the average players'' doesnt like simplicated stuff to encounter and they leave. I have understand why a heroes in agame should be become so powerful compared to a encounters itself. This is one thing what D3 did do right with a Grifts by a scaling a power a higher you go not otherway round. aRPG should never b even is it (character improvement) still it doesnt mean being overpowered. So in a other words also GGG has done pretty well done job even GGG would perhaps want a challenge being a little more harder what they release to a people who is playing a game because they do understand what most of a people doesnt from a playerbase or wanna admit. There are worse players then others even if it ''gived'' a starting point for a encounter and they cannot do it. Then start a whine and nerf a stuff to a ground wich leads towards to situations like this. So my opinion about a Labyrinth and its Traps. Good! something afraid of while i use my ancient laptop with a wireless netstic connection i have not get (dc problems as many others does seems to have so offen) game doesnt crash or so.Latency is never nice 50 its always jumping around 60-130. After a couple of exploring and checking out a labyrinth and itself its a good pack of enviromnt and its not too long either when look at a ''reward'' when finish it. A traps also helps a lot to coordinate wich happens all of the time while playing unless you blindl powercreep and kill stuff and not worrying about your death that much. Also in my mind does teach a little bit patience and if wanna be mor ''quick'' there is so many options to bypass those traps even now with either is it run trough a certain trap with (strong life regen) build doesnt even require to pop up a potions unless you decide stand in a midd of a traps and follow it a few times.(i am talking about lv36-39 melee templar build.. with only items you gained trough a adventure.. no trading and with only 1k life and was it 13-16es ? Well i died this one i just get either too confident or a game lag because i did not see anything to come towards me while i only heard ''scream'' and your dead. IT was scion wand build (i like kinetic ability pretty cool but has its disadvantages with a about 600-660 life and barely any ES and a traps a never problem as they can be bypass so easily, but i died iin a second izaro. Well my own i believe. Otherwise it was just fine even fightning with izaro a first one did go down boom .. no problemos either was in a second i was full health keep running around and throwing stuff while moving but just that one time and i died..haha. So i like labyrinth and its content if offers mechanic also as a monsters to adapt a challenge and beat it. Mindless monster killing with a Overpowered character is not a challenge it is then what they bring front of us to encounter. Like monsters has they reflects, higher resistances..auras..curses..CE or should i call it detonate dead. Also i wanna anwser on this one... a big no! to idea even to put a Ascendary bound to a account rather then its a bound to a character is it should be and it is now. Those account bound stuff are bad for a games like XPsave things was for a FPS games back then. IT was so cool to play multiple maps in ET and earn those titles like brigandier General or more up(no spawn killing) i liked a rules. Still one of a best FS game moments came from a ET. I was playing Axis in a railgun map, and our side get fastly cornered to out spawn house.. mortars and everything while towards it, grenadies from a windows. Then we got a focused our team that we need to take calm and make final big push.. and it was so damn feel humialte a opponent side even they dominated us a most of a game time and there was only time for one last try. If honest i miss those moments. |

If I wanted to deal with good trap content in a game, I'd play a fucking flash game from early 2000's. Even those have better implementation than PoE.
[s]only mindless sheep think labyrinth is OK to have in PoE.[/s]
okay nevermind labyrinth, fix dx9 blackscreen instead... |

" Can you mention some excamples ? |

I am out for a while too, I only see myself coming back when things change.
This game is not fun anymore, forcing me to make that fucking lab. |

I am mostly with you on this.
I´m just a casual player who takes interest in poe for a while and than stops playing again for a couple of months. I really liked the new stuff, even the traps but imprecisely controls and traps you just don´t see because of the camera or them just appearing out of nowhere, take away all the fun you could probably get from trap mechanics. But the worst thing is that is sets back all the progression you had, which makes dying to a silly trap that you haven´t even seen before it caused your death all the more discouraging. These things combined make the Lab to something you just want to get over with rather than something you do regularly. What i would wish for to make it better is: Get rid of traps that are not or just barely visible beforehand, because they degrade the whole thing from something about skill to trail and error. Remove the death penalty and/or build in some checkpoints. |

" 1) traps are in specific patterns. there is really limited amount of them. 2) after first 10 runs and accumulating experience you can create 2 screen wide guessing of trap layout just listening to them No rest for the wicked

" That's a good tip, then I cringe at the thought of having to play this boring and not fun labyrinth content so many times that I might actually learn this! Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

" I don´t have a problem with the ones moving over the flor etc. but just as an example my last death: I was running and dodging around some of these specific pattern traps you are talking about, when i heard a click, the sound of saws and than I was dead, in merely a second. I didn't see the trap beforehand, nor while it was shredding me and neither after it, because what ever it was was hidden behind a wall. That are terrible trap mechanics especially when dying is so punishing. |
