Going back to Monsters using skills costing mana

I wonder if Zerphi's Last Breath interaction with Immortalis belt will actually heal them?

Guys, I've made a video using Pocked Goliath as Spectres. They do tons of damage. You have to play with Bone/Flesh offering for switch between defensive/offensive mode.

It's a T10 run, boss kill at 2:17

I still didn't find any Phantom Impaler. In the patch notes it says that they now use ice trap. I would like to test them with cluster traps

They are actually performing better than I would have expected of them. Pretty cool.

How does their AoE compare to cleave bears? The bears would benefit from the same setup but they'd have an easier time benefitting from punishment due to enduring cry.

I'm fairly certain those are some of the mobs guarding perandus chests and thus not raisable as spectres.

GGG honestly needs to tone down the "lets spend time and money creating new monsters that use new and/or exclusive skills and then make sure they aren't usable as spectres" that they seem to love so dearly when designing challenge leagues. It's no fun.

I tested cleave bears and their damage/aoe is shit compared to these bad boys. Have to say that I've improved the goliath build a lot, now using temporal chains instead of punishment and I increased their AOE for +20% thanks to the ring and the shield (aswell as increasing their poison damage)

Should do, I suppose they gain the increased casting cost of 4/5/6L gear? heck that might even hinder some monsters if they have mana restrictions

Map-only monster changes:
Goatman Shamans no longer spawn entirely as Shaman packs, they are now combined with regular Goatman monsters as well.
Porcupine Goliaths in Endgame Maps now grant approximately 20% more experience and items.
Croaking Chimerals in Endgame Maps now grant approximately 30% more experience and items.
Packs of Scum Crawlers combined with Soulless Watchers in Endgame Maps now contain 25% more monsters.
Blood Elementals which use Gore Earthquake have been added to end-game Maps, some of the Blood Elementals in Blood Elemental Packs will now use Gore Earthquake
Some of the Water Elemental packs in Maps will now contain ones that use Vortex.
Some of the Sea Witch packs in Maps will now contain ones that use Frostbolt.
Some of the Ghost Pirate packs in Maps will now contain ones that use Blade Vortex. Some of the Demon Packs in Maps will contain ones that use Demonic Blade Vortex.
Some of the Ruined Titan packs in Maps will now contain ones that use Earthquake.
Some of the Goatman Shaman (Lightning) packs in Maps will now contain ones that use Orb of Storms.
Numerical adjustments to several monster skills have been made. These are generally buffs to spells cast by monsters.
Lowered some life monsters which appear solo in the core game, but can appear as packs in maps.
Rebalanced the Graveyard Map Boss (Merveil, the Reflection, who is only present in her first form) to be easier.
Rebalanced the first form of the Necropolis Map Boss (Merveil, the Reflection) to be harde


Bolded text are interesting notes for spectre summoners =). If this trend continues we might run into an interesting special mob type that can be viable. This is all depending on whether or not the raise spectre skill raises them as a different base type.
