Once You have 6th link You will start to have problems with mana, especially on maps with reduced life/mana regen. Crit in this build is nice addition, not the goal itself. With half of Your crit i can get 55k+ tooltip dps with charges and atziri flask with maxed gems. Try uber :)

It's awesome build and it's very funny for me, but i have heard that GGG want to change chaos mechanics
Is it true or someone made a disinformation?

If thats true i see no other option like completly ditching chaos and going full crit inquisitor. Chaos would have 0 point to invest in it. It would require some changes to the build itself but to be honest its enough to start as a templaer (ill have to only change starting points in my tree from shadow to templar), ditch all the chaos damage on tree and get crit instead. Doable and probably TT dps around 60-90k.

Problem is no chain reaction, but swap to sunblast and that new jewel can make up or it :S

OP went Sabotuer - Chain Reaction/Blinding Assault (I believe that virtually every poster in this thread made the same choice).

With that reddit post and following comments, how can you still suggest Saboteur?
Can anyone give feedback on going with Trickster or Assassin over Saboteur.
I'm leaning towards Trickster for the survivability buffs, as Assassin's Crit bonuses would just be a bit wasted, the damage isn't even needed that much.

Saboteur is the best class for bosses and Atziri just because of how the chain reaction works. The build is not lacking dmg thats why going even more dps is pointless. Saboteur gives you consistency and is easy ro play with. You can set up fights before they even start - givimg you time to prepare defences, dodge things.

Assasin means only more damage and a nightmare of capping resists - armor/both hands/ ring/ belt have to be uniques, it also means less life.
The discussion in provided thread is highly generic. I knkw plenty of people that switched from assasin bak to saboteur just because it simplifies fights. After 30k TT dps (which is very easy to get), more of dmg is just iceing on the top.

Trickster is pointless. Only other good option i could live with was described in my previous post and i would use it only if chaos dmg gets nerfed as described.

So, pick your poison :)

Nah, if they gonna treat Chaos like other elements, they'll add Chaos Pen too. And a Chaos Penetration gem would be insaaaaane strong. (despite chaos res maps ofc)

But that will be with 2.3.0 or later. So no worries actually. And yes we're enjoying the shit out of Chaos Ice Trap :D

Honestly , i decided to create this build due to Uber(i have not run it before) and i disappointed a little bit. I don't want to bury this build :(

There is a reason why we all run chaos dmg and not elemental. As elemental dmg is pain to use exacly because of penetration gems/curses/map affixes.

If GGG decides to treat chaos just like another element i have no will to gimp myself to 5 unique items only to be in the same spot as i am on start.

And no penetration gems are worth shit in t15 maps as most monsters have base of 40% all res and with 80% additional resistances you are still facing 75% less dmg multipler.


ps. But im already prepared for that time so dont really care :D...

I need advice from you guys, I can't decide.
I'm playing this build in HC Perandus right now.
I can't really decide which curse would help more Temp Chains or Enfeeble.
I guess the Poison Buff from Temp Chains is pretty useless, cause you have enough damage anyway?

I thought about going dual curse, but don't want to selfcast it, dual blasphemy would be reserve too much mana, then I have to drop HoI which I don't want.
An other Thought was Curse on Hit, maybe with Vaal Thundertrap?
