SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]

also do not understand why some have it open, some dont (none ever entered lab)

anyway - doing it only once is like 15 minutes so i can live with that (and ive found a pretty sick bow while doing the trials so it wasnt time wasted after all)

(Seriously, now. Been playing this game for a total of three weeks. Have four ascendancy points. Beat the Labyrinth on both Normal and Cruel and can't wait for Merciless. Only one or two deaths to traps due to my mistakes and none to Izario. Ascendancy points are far from unobtainable. Lessening the importance of the rewards DOES ruin the experience and I don't appreciate people trying to ruin that experience because they want QQ over content they can't death rush repeatedly. It's not really a matter of liking it; not everyone is going to like content, but as long as it's obtainable, which it clearly is if a noob can beat it, then focus on beating it rather than rallying up support for a bullshit cause)

We'll have to change the name if they do this. Maybe "Bitchancy Points"? Or how about something like simple like "Entitlement Points" if you don't like made up words?

Yeah, I think "Entitlement Points" really nails it. It has that perfect ring to it.

Spike Trap

Ill put some timestambs for all the lazy white knights to see :

2:50:00 - Lava Floor
3:34:00 - Puzzle to progress
3:58:35 - Spike Trap
3:58:50 - Another Trap

Tomb Rider and other Indiana Jones titles had similar gameplay others with more traps other with less.
I only linked that kind of games cause for some youngsters here in the forums to make a connection to an arcade game is rather hard and difficult for us to explain the similarities.

Now tell me, do you need even more proof to see that the labyrinth is totally different and not fit for PoE?

it is not for you to decide what is fit for PoE or not, you know. it's GGG's game and only they are authorised to make such decisions since they created it and allow everyone to play it for free.

PoE is the game GGG devs wanted to play, as they stated many times, so obviously the labirynth is the thing they created because they themselves find it enjoyable.

moreover, you don't expect that in a game with such complexity and frequency of expansion releases, there won't be things that you won't like?
you expect such game to have 100% of content that you will like and approve of. i do not.
i am realistic, you cannot please all the people all the time.

and btw, the traps/puzzles and whatnot are not all over the labyrinth but only in certain areas, and most of the lab is free of them, and like 2/3 of them are fairly easy to avoid/run past or simply ignore by using life pots. that leaves at about few percent of your time spent in the labirynth to have you to endure that part of the game that you don't like.
i think you can sacrifice those 5 minutes of your valuable time to then later enjoy your ascendancy points for completing the labirynth.

and one more thing, you guys can complain all you want, but ascendancy points will never be free, since it would be totally illogical to do so, and would defeat the purpose of implementing this new ascendancy content and the story behind it.

i can understand that merciless lab might be hard, but normal and cruel can be completed by simply overlevelling your character before attempting it. it's basically 4 ascendancy points that can be fairly easy to obtain with minimum time investment.
i bet you can endure those 1-2 hours total in normal and cruel to reap the above rewards?
or is it too much to ask?

and, if you still disagree and cannot stomach it, then well, you can uninstall the game and move on to play something that will please you in 100%.

They use existing game mechanics (monsters, skills and spells), although they are occasionally a cheap way to die since it is difficult to read the monster descriptions in a real-time game with a lot of effects going on. Running around a spike maze is something for a different game. I wouldn't be playing PoE if that was in the game I originally downloaded.
