SET FREE THE ASCENDANCY POINTS (or rework the lab) [New ascension methods/lab rework ideas]
" Sorry Moshe that you feel that you have been "wronged" somehow. If GGG moderators have removed your words then it means that your post violated the rules. It is generally more likely to get censored for other reasons than being off topic though. So it was probably done for a different reason, most likely being disrespectful to others in the thread or something along those lines? Anyway, I'll take your post on the topic to mean that you like labyrinth and therefore, I will not add you to the list of people that have voiced an opinion expressing support for fixing the labyrinth. If that's correct then thank you for sharing for feedback. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

" I was censored u guys said, this is off topic I quote many others ppl saying what I said this GGG guy dont do anything with others, I think they dont like me, but I dont know why edited: I've talked about politically correct, it hides what needs to be said, you're imposing that no one thinks it's all for free when says this is off topic, when there are people wanting everything for free, this is a false policy The end of all that is - The winter has come - Hold the door - The North Remembers I hope you have a good life on the other side of the wall “Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.” Gen. There is nothing left to discuss and this thread no longer serves a purpose other than for turtle to continuously say everything is off topic. This thread needs to be buried. Chroniccomplainerreviews.wordpress.com

" I'm sorry that I can't understand very well what you're saying. I only speak English. I suspect that English is not your native language. So I applaud and appreciate your ability, tenacity, and determination to post on this forum in English, Thank you! You seem to say something about being free. Just to clarify, no one has suggested that Ascendancy Points should be free. The OP (opening post) of this thread would hopefully make that clear if you read that. Please review that post for detail. Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!

I've talked about politically correct, it hides what needs to be said (what? when you are politically correct you dont tell the truth, what truth? ppl want free ascendancy points)
you're imposing that no one thinks it's all for free when says "this is off topic" (I said before set free normal and cruel difficulties, and you guys said this is off topic, "be part of the topic" is to give alternative ideas to labyrinth in your opinion, but in all this pages has many ppl that want free ascendancy points, so its not off topic) this is a false policy (what? politically correct. what is politically correct? Is create a prohibited word, a prohibited idea, as in this case "off topic") I quoted many people who want everything for free, so I'm not off topic someone at GGG is lost and erased my words The end of all that is - The winter has come - Hold the door - The North Remembers
I hope you have a good life on the other side of the wall “Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.” Gen. James Mad Dog Mattis |

" I agree GGG is lost here, now "off topic" means not be politically correct, now the ppl began to impose what to think, what to post The end of all that is - The winter has come - Hold the door - The North Remembers I hope you have a good life on the other side of the wall “Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet.” Gen. " Yes it has been for a while now, unfortunately im not the creator of the image and thus i cant (cause i dont have it) re-upload it, if AceNightfire could do it again in a different image site that would be great. " There is indeed nothing more for ignorant people who have yet to understand the meaning/goal of this topic to discuss, but still they pump the thread with shittalk and lies, as well as with pesky and cocky claims. Suit yourself you insult yourselfs more than you are trying to insult the cause and/or the people involved. Updated OP. " It's highly doubtful the thread would be anywhere NEAR as active and visible as it is if not for you and goetzjam. I expect the irony of that is lost on both of you, given how tenaciously you both keep this thread bumped, but it is not lost on me--nor, I imagine, on any mod who might consider locking the thread due to its high quantity of low-quality posts. This started off as a reply to Moshe, but I got on a valuable train of thought and went along for the ride.
It seems to me, Moshe was trying to use un-marked sarcasm to make his point. Sadly, on the internet, if you don't declare it as sarcasm in some way, one cannot assume that is what is meant, especially if english isn't your first language. Given the benefit of the doubt, in that you are not intentionally going off-topic, and want to make a meaningful contribution to the thread by expressing your opinion on the matter, I will try to extract the meaning from the posts you have made thus far: (paraphrasing) "If GGG does create a method to obtain ascendancy points outside the labyrinth, or provides an alternate method to ascend, they might as well allow people to bypass Merciless Act 1." [EDIT: and you do not believe this should be the case, you find it humorous or absurd that such a change would ever be made, thus this is sarcasm] To me, that seems to be your intended meaning. In your opinion, the method to obtain ascendancy points is as part of the main game as an act in the main story. Logically, to those who think like this, to change the labyrinth because in some people's opinion, it's annoying or tedious, or just un-fun (the reason to play any game is to have fun), is as valid a reason to remove the neccessity to play through any of the acts in the main game if one thinks they are also annoying tedious or un-fun. If that is a person's reasoning and goal, it makes a perfectly reasonable basis for a separate post on the forum lobbying for changing the act that you find boring, tedious or un-fun. Thus, making this sort of proposal in a thread about the labyrinth, off-topic. If that is a person's argument against making a change to the labyrinth, it should have been made clear, without use of sarcasm, or with the sarcasm marked (especially, as I said, if english is not one's primary language) --- Personally, I don't find any acts so boring, tedious, or un-fun that I would stop playing the game just because of their requirement for progression in the game. However, I would not stand in the way of change, if it would make others happier with the game if it were changed in some way to make them enjoy it more. This is why I find it unreasonable for people to argue against change that would make the game more enjoyable for some people, while not impacting their own fun in any way (I would even say changing acts in this way would be MORE impactful than providing an alternative method of ascenscion that leaves the current labyrinth in place, unchanged). --- To clarify my own viewpoint, and why this logic fails to address the need (or lack of need) for change: First and foremost for me, the disconnect-and-start-over feature alone makes it a waste of time. This is an online game, and should be designed around the deficits of the medium, not become more punishing because of the problems that may arise. (whether these problems may be with the internet not being perfect *gasp shock horror, nobody knew!*, one's personal life interrupting, or bugs crashing instances on GGG's own servers, or a plethora of reasons it would crash on individual user's machines) The rest of the game makes allowances for this, by means of waypoints in the main game, and a limited number of portals for maps. The entire game, outside of the labyrinth, is designed around the deficits of the medium. Yes, problems will arise, and you aren't often unfairly punished for common problems. (there are still instance crashes in expensive maps that I think should be handled differently, but that's neither here nor there.) Secondly, The labyrinth is, and was advertised as, a new type of gameplay different from the rest of the game (one reason it's been referred to as a "refreshing change of pace from maps" or somesuch.) (On a partial side-note, this alone negates comparisons of "requiring the Labyrinth" to "requiring playthrough of the Main-game acts." They're not the same; the labyrinth is not "act 4.5", it's a tacked on mini-game that grants progression of a character in the main game) Requiring one to play a different (and dis-liked, as personal taste may be) type of gameplay to progress in the rest of the game, is the primary cause for complaint. This was not the gameplay that drew these people to the game that otherwise love playing this game. It is one reason many people did not like the advent of "Golden Saucer" areas in RPGs. The inclusion of mini-games that are not optional to character progression, is highly annoying to some people. I really can't tell you how much I hated FFX's ultimate weapon mini-games (On my first play-through, I completed them all, but hated every moment - on a subsequent nostalgic play-through, I just created my own ultimate weapons through crafting, since I had experienced that nightmare one too many times already). Often, a main reason these mini-games are so bad, is because they require playing in a way that is totally unrelated to the rest of the game, the controls are not optimized, or the user interface is poorly implemented (or a horrible mess of all the above). Console games like that were set-in-stone products. One of the main draws to online games like Path of Exile, is that new content is constantly being added to the game. Here, we can, and often do, see changes made to the game. If were're not enjoying the new additions, they aren't neccessarily permanent. They don't have to ruin the game for us anymore. ~*~ There is no good reason to require non-core gameplay to advance one's core gameplay experience. Optional side content? Sure, make a ton! Some people will enjoy it, and that's great! But to make it part of the core game? Thanks, but no thanks. ~*~ Last edited by Zaludoz#6325 on Nov 12, 2016, 11:12:09 AM
