So because something is an action RPG it is exempt of all things that make an RPG?
I fail to see the logic in this.
What makes PoE an action RPG as opposed to a classic RPG is the fast paced real-time gameplay, NOT the inclusion or absence of traps.
I did not say this. Neither did TD.
So you think all pen-and-paper RPG mechanics work in an ARPG then, and vice-versa, right? That sounds really dumb to me, so I cannot agree.

I'm scratching my head and trying to figure out how your thought process works, man. Are you a really dedicated troll, or do you honestly believe all the statements you make?

It would indeed be annoying to put words in someone's mouth, except I didn't, I quoted you and asked you to make sense of it for me.
But by all means don't bother. I've come to realize this thread is about as effective a discussion as a barbershop on the steps to the guillotine.
You don't like, I do like. Great. Wonderful. Splendid.

Those are ARPG's, not POE. POE is simply a fast paced RPG that feels offsetted when one goes into Lab and receives a slower paced experience.

That comment singlehandedly kills any and all future content for the game.
Nope.
Just content like the Labyrinth.

This PoE not being an ARPG makes no sense to me. I'd say the first true ARPG was Diablo 1. Diablo 1 was improved upon by Diablo 2. The best ARPG to improve on Diablo 2 was PoE. PoE did it better than Diablo 3. Then labyrinth was released and PoE was knocked down a couple of notches. I haven't played Grim Dawn and some of the other contenders and so all is my opinion based on my limited experience.

Yes, so for example if GGG added a puzzle with falling blocks of different shapes and the they had to be flipped around to make complete rows then we might have some people claiming puzzles were always a part of ARPG's. I'd say that this is not kill monster get loot content and so more like Tetris than an ARPG.
Conversely if GGG added an Act 5 that was made up of kill monsters and get loot game play then that is new future content for the game that is ARPG game play.

The more I read your posts, the more sad I feel inside. The emptiness... I guess you don't even see it yourself, but I'm really glad the GGG development team is more creative than... that.
Even if the Lab might not have been their best content ever released (I still like it) at least they are trying to improve upon and add variation to the game. Heck, even if it's the worst content ever, I salute them for trying. That's how you learn and progress is made.

One of my first posts about the labyrinth was a salute to GGG for trying at least. My view is that labyrinth would be a tremendous success if they had not gated ascendancy points behind it. That means that people that don't like trap game play or the inferior control of GGG's implementation with the mouse are forced to run through it anyway. If not for that I could easily applaud GGG for great new content for those in the player base that like it. I never really got into a trap game play oriented games but on the Commodore 64 and Nintendo I'd occasionally play a bit of Frogger or something like that for a change of pace. I was playing a map trial yesterday and more than once I'd click on a lever or something then spikes would pop up blocking the character and the stupid character would run up a saw blade path or something. To me, it is boring, irritating, tedious and frustrating to go through that content. It should not be mandatory content in PoE.

Content that changes how you play the game is good content. D3 makes its living on changing how people play the game at the mechanics level up. Poe changes gameplay and is instantly met with negativity from a minority of players (less than 3% of entire active playerbase). This is a normal reaction. People dislike change. Eventually you will come to see that this was good for the game, or you will find a new game.
