Quitting PoE after years due to Labyrinth System
" Another one who does not get the point(s). My main issue personally is that i dont like the content so i have no reason to do it cause its not fun for me, even if the reward will be fun. Im not against working to get the rewards but not do an absurd mini-game that has nothing to do with PoE. Make a fight with Izaro only that cannot be done in parties, does not droop loot and does not give experience to the players. Only 2 ascedancy points per difficulty. See there? ive suggested something and if you had the patience to understand and read carefully what most people trying to say im 100% sure that you would agree with that. Just look around in the feedback and GD forums and see the rest of the threads. Its not whining cause its hard (95% of the comments dont even mentione a difficulty factor regarding lab), its giving feedback for a style of play that DOES NOT FIT POE, its not fun and totally frustrating that we have to endure this headache to even enjoy the only highlight of the expansion (cause the ascendancy points are the highlight, the lab is some kind of joke a troll would have done to make people angry and frustrated). guys - real talk: what is so different between Lab and normal POE? (dont want to hear about that 'its mandatory' QQ - facts please)
what is that makes it so 'stand out'ish and different so you cannot bare it and explode into hysteria? because when you take a look at the lab there are just few differences: - you cannot log out/tp out of danger (i bet glasscannoners hate it) - there are SOME traps. SOME not many. there are literally levels without a single damn drap - you cannot trade (but Parendus league already dumped prices of pretty much everything into nothing) done. - it has extreme monster density and is great for leveling (imho better than dried lake) when level appropriate - there are deterministic lootsplosions you can farm - it takes 15 minutes to complete if you know what to expect and 25 if you go all in on the first time. - oh and it requires skills so gear wont carry you nor is your copypasted build. people claiming that this is 'all puzzles and tomb raider' are liars and just exaggerating stuff. normal poe: click stuff, stuff dies lab: click stuff, stuff dies. it is not that you have to write essays there to open locked doors if you cannot handle it, then well, maybe these points are not for you |

" You misquoted btw. In terms of doing tf2 you are obviously just being facetious, the lab contains elements that fit the game pre patch, mobs, boss kills large zones, ect. The only new thing are the traps that you can completely avoid using various methods. Are you saying that people die to the traps and if so how exactly is that happening, unless you run with the trap itself you should be able to react and move out and live. So what you are saying is GGG this game is too hard because there is DOT traps that move, despite you having DOT affects in various forms in the game already, the fact that they move is too much to fit the game. Please get the fuck over yourself already and learn the mechanics, or simply don't play. " Not fun for you... I specifically said the game and many games contain elements that are not fun for various people. At this point I don't care or really have fun leveling characters I've done it a BUNCH. I still do it because its necessary to reach the goal I want. Mini game that doesn't fit poe, ok its a boss fight with mobs inbetween, but also contains DOT traps, dot is not a new mechanic to poe, only the traps part is, you call it a minigame because its the first time they put all of these into 1 little kit, but nothing is new, except the traps. They don't mention difficulty because they know they would be wrong, the difficulty in terms of his level to yours might be skewed but saying hes too difficult just means you need to better prepare. What the hell do you mean make a fight, you mean you go in and immediately fight him to get the 2 points, where exactly do you think that is going to happen? Clearly you don't get the point I'm trying to make either. If the traps are truly that difficult then you don't know how to learn to avoid them, even if its not fun you don't have to run it that many times, its less time consuming to do overall in 1 characters leveling experience then the optional side skillpoints people already do. That additional power should take at least some effort on your behalf. Keep saying it doesn't fit poe, it doesn't make your point correct. You knew 5 months ago it was traps and nothing else is new, how exactly does it not fit poe? Its sounds really weird and alienating doesnt it? But guess what since they saw that some people enjoyed the tomb rider/contra/donkey kong/arcade mini-game stuff they might be into racing games too, lets implement this and put a new tree only available to those mindless enough to eat what we serve without inspecting first. I know it seems exaggerated but thats exactly how we ("the haters") feel about the labyrinth part of the ascendancy path. A new game has been implemented into what we love, opening the doors for future absurd ideas to be implemented while locking the highlight of the expansion behind them. If anything else i support everyones right to have fun with the game, if you like the lab good for you and i hope you enjoy it for a long time, but the white knights simply dont see reason, an important and fun aspect of the game is locked behind a silly mini-game, thats a fact and a sad one cause that denies us any chance to enjoy the new content, it has nothing to do with difficulty or time investment its simply not fit for a hack and slash arpg. Expansions in this game have ALWAYS been locked behind something, in order to get to atziri you have to get the frag pieces, in order to get to uber atziri you have to get the uber pieces. In order to utilize the master crafting you have to level them, are you seeing a pattern here? Its as if this idea of doing something to get a benefit is new to you, but its not its been in the game and added in every single expansion they have done. If you don't see it you truly need to open your eyes and accept reality. They showcased this stuff 4-5 MONTHS ago, if you think it didn't fit then why didn't you say anything they showed clearly that people would have to go thru traps to do this. The monsters are really no different then outside the lab and a new boss is a new boss, so what exactly is so fartetched about this lab that has you comparing it to TF2 and car racing games? " lol..no disrespect...but this is a pretty dumb comment. If you make a build without planning around ascendancies you are limiting your builds true potential. For example, ED/Contagion is 100% more effective as a Scion-Deadeye (+trickster or +occultist) ascendancy over a witch-occultist or even a shadow-trickster. (because of the 100% pierce and projectile mechanics)...but if you don't use that "101 LOGIC AND PLANNING" you would use a lot of time to make a build that wasn't performing at it's finest. The comment I quoted is absolutely incorrect imo. |
