Does anyone actually enjoy Labyrinth?
I don't want to seem mean but HC is not an argument since SC exists. What i mean is that the difficulty cannot be toned down cause of HC rips since it's player choice to play HC.

" Haahahaha... haaaa... ha. :D Elitism. Being good at the game = elitism. Lol. It is funny that you claim that he is being elite for saying that you should get better, and then you claim that you are getting 1-hit by Merci Izaro with most of your passives into defense... You just admitted that you are bad XD With enough flask charges (and not hp ones) I can stand in font of Izaro for weeks. He'll never take more than 20% of my hp with strongest of his hits. Without flasks, well, it gets a little worse, but that is the point - you don't know how the game works, so you claim it is broken. :v Visit my stream someday, and I'll show you that you can facetank Izaro. :P Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance. Ignorance more frequently begets confidence than does knowledge. Last edited by Perq#4049 on Mar 11, 2016, 8:41:07 AM

" Claiming others not liking new content simply because they are bad players, and don't understand how game works... Unlike You, who is so mighty and smart with Your (I bet 100% self-found..) build :D then bragging how anyone can do it with some copy-pasta p o s builds easily... What an absolutely perfect example of "elitism" really :D Thanks, couldn't have given any better example to people, really :) |

I built an Oro's flicker build just to farm the lab (character name is Talon__Karrde if you want to see it). I've gotten my merciless time down to about 6 minutes give or take.
I really love that you can control how much loot Izaro gives at the end. The glove and boot enchants are absolutely insane. I haven't gotten a helm enchant for flicker strike yet, but I'm working on it. I'm lovin' it :D |

Labyrinth is best content GGG could possibly come up with for Ascendency. Absolutely brilliant.
I like the idea that it's content that changes on daily basis, and you don't need to run it 20 times per day, just once to have fun and get enchantments, or only once to get Ascended, as you wish. It's funny to see all the whiners that can't get past simple traps... what are you doing in PoE? Go and play Hello Kitty Online. |

I find the idea of the labyrinth brilliant; and the aesthetic to it very much suits it, adding a dimension to the game that I felt it was missing. But no, it's not perfect.
For one, perhaps most importantly, it's buggy as hell; far buggier (by an order of magnitude) than Act 4 was when introduced last year. Much of it could be forgiven, but the performance issues really need to be fixed. They definitely detract from one's ability to enjoy it when one has to also play AROUND lag spikes and stutter on a PC that runs, say, Dying Light or ARMA 3 just fine. Another is the lack of scalability on the challenge; this also extends a bit to what makes Izaro "overtuned." Being hard itself isn't the problem... It's that his difficulty doesn't match the context; he's FAR harder than anything else in there, and at the expected level (pre-act 4) he's far harder than any follow-on content. Malachai was much the same way, as originally, on release of 2.0 last year, Normal Malachai was harder than every Cruel boss until you got back to Act 4, and Cruel Malachai was harder than all of Act 1-3 Merciless. This makes for REALLY poor balance; a player can expect to skip by to gain some levels, then come back... When at level 68, the Labyrinth really doesn't drop any worthwhile loot anymore. Similarly, at level 68, it can't contribute to the actual endgame, unlike what some other prior content (like Vinktar Square and Rigwald) did. (And I'm not sure a "level 75 Labyrinth" will be high enough) Rufalius, hybrid Aura/Arc/Mana Guardian | Hemorae, TS Raider | Wuru, Ele Hit Wand Trickster

" Yea, this is because lab looks for you like a low hanging fruit, you think that you can get it, but you are certainly not strong and skillfull enough to do it so you rage on forums how GGG has spoiled the game. The thing is that difficulty of a content was not changed in ANY WAY: you still can run maps without ascendancy, or you can become BETTER AT THIS GAME and complete lab to become even stronger. For exaple, i am not raging because i can't kill uber Atziri, i am trying to become better to be able to kill her Last edited by Eugen#5293 on Mar 11, 2016, 1:59:12 PM

I play the Labs as some kind of "Build-Check'o'Meter" for my previously theorycrafted builds and i enjoy the labs a lot so far since i faceroll and facetank the content actually with ease.

As someone who did it on each difficulty with a brand new league character before the nerfs I can safely say - nope. It is poorly thought out, just look at how laggy it was on release. GGG's sole purpose was to freshen up the gameplay but they did not take into consideration their super old engine, like always. They thought the golden spam brigade was pretty smart too until they realized how painful it is for their players to die because of the massive lags.

" Seems a little elitist to me to say, as though with authority, that someone is bad at the game because they get 1-shot to a boss. Think about it: If he builds his character very defensively, and has even moderate gear, one-shots should be close to impossible. The thing is, some days Izaro is very different than others, and this imbalance is what needs to be better tuned. -VG- Invited to Beta 2012-03-18 / Supporter since 2012-04-08
