Seems a little elitist to me to say, as though with authority, that someone is bad at the game because they get 1-shot to a boss.

Think about it: If he builds his character very defensively, and has even moderate gear, one-shots should be close to impossible. The thing is, some days Izaro is very different than others, and this imbalance is what needs to be better tuned.

While you are right in that getting one shot by a boss doesn't necessarily make you bad at the game, think about it this way.

Building defensively on the passive tree doesn't really protect you from oneshots, due to the very nature of the defenses available on the tree(mostly avoidance like evasion or block, or armour which is pretty useless against big hits). That is, unless you have like 250% life and use a kaoms heart. More than that, there will always be situations in this game that onehit even the tankiest of characters, so you can't claim to have built defensively to the point where oneshots are impossible. Finally, to my main point, anything in the game that can consistently oneshot a character is well telegraphed and meant to be avoided,even on 'defensive' characters.

Overall I like the labyrinth. The trap design is utter garbage, though. They should not completely ignore defenses. If POE had the kind of controls games with obstacles like this need, sure. If the trap design was such that we could actually see what we needed to do every time and be confident we can actually do it, sure. This is not the case.

POE has clunky controls. My character goes somewhere besides where I click way too often, and it's much worse when I'm around taps for some reason. I'll click right ahead of me and run straight into a goddamn trap on left. It's awful. I also have no clue why they decided to make the light radius nearly zero around traps. "Play intelligently, just do it blindfolded." Sure, that'll work.

Assuming they correct their many mistakes with traps, most notably how they completely negate a character's defenses, I'm fine with the labyrinth. Many time sinks in there are completely unrewarding, but that's fine. Most of POE is massively unrewarding, so players interesting in the best value for their time can simply skip those parts. Just rushing it for enchants works fine.

Challenge can be fun. Labyrinth is not.

As is, I think I'm quitting PoE again for about a week to see if they fix this horrible mess of an expansion (crit multi, I'm looking at you, too).

All it would take for Labyrinth is not making the stupid fucking thing reset on death. "So you dredged though all that crap you didn't enjoy and got to boss? Oh you lagged and died? Trololol do it again!"

Don't make me grind it. It also isn't PoE... it's Legend of Zelda meets Tomb Raider.

Well failed, GGG. Whoever came up with the idea of a bunch of traps doesn't seem to have played POE.

POE is about making a build, getting as strong as possible, min/maxing and loot.

Grinder traps aren't part of the equation.

At least there's a new hero in Heroes of the Storm!

i think that I will join you....spending nearly 2 hours going around in concentric circles/squares without even sniffing Izaro or his pet Argus/Argos or whatever his bleeping name is....and yes, did the traps/puzzles etc and nope, no gold or silver keys to be found either. Something is rotten in the state of Denmark....

I really like the traps and analyzing their patterns and stuff, i know you can just blaze through with movements skills, but that's going to get you killed sooner rather than later.

What is not ok is that cruel Izaro hits harder than malachai and does so with faster and more heavy hitting attacks, and that was unbuffed, I don't want to imagine what he does when you actuallly buff him.

How do you manage to spend 2 hours in the lab without hitting Izaro? I usually find his first stage within 5-10 minutes even with a new character in a fresh lab where I do not know the layout.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.
I love perandus because it makes T1 and other expensive items more accessible to people who don't itemflip & lowball newbies 24/7.
But the lab itself... I HATE it.

Also yesterday the lab had a simple puzzle right next to the entrance in the first room. You could just spam it over and over again.

After playing today's layout, my opinion has dropped a good deal. If I'm >20 levels above a boss, they should be utterly inconsequential... If they aren't, they're definitively overtuned. And then throw in frequent spikes of lagging? Not fun at all.

Labyrinth right now is a bunch of unfulfilled promises.

Lab sucks. It just isnt fun. Its not that its overly challenging its just not fun at all. I love PoE but this was the worst update so far content wise.
