First Wave of Trade Improvements

Trading is a core part of the game and should not be gated buy anything.
All those, who defending it and saying, u can pay, just stfu. I payed for the game and plan to pay more. It's not about pay or not pay, stop riding on those few, who say p2w. With this, GGG is basically saying, u either pay us or depend on 3rd party to play our game. And this is bad. And if this 3rd party suddenly stops, than what? |

This is a bad decision, I think. To assume that the current way of trading will be still working, when there's a game implemented solution, is very short sighted, especially when time is a resource in races. Doing both is going to be more effort, so presumably this will shift to in game trading quickly, especially because of the sluggishness of the current system. Putting a gameplay element behind a pay wall, that will instantly reward you with more currency if you pay for it, is a step up on the p2w ladder, no matter how awesome the game is and how many mountains of cash GGG should have for making it. The distance on the ladder between buying premium stash tabs, for being able to trade, and buying additional tabs, for not having to mule stuff around and just keeping non vital items, which was always a possibility, is magnitudes larger. It will severely impact the perception of people on how much p2w there is in Path of Exile.

"Sure. go ahead. And then refund me all the extra that I paid for the premium tabs that others are now getting for free. If you don't pay for something how can you expect to get the same as those that have paid for it? This works both ways in case people haven't noticed. Why should people who didn't pay for premium tabs get free upgrades / free stash tabs? The premium tabs help support the game. No game support and that would mean no wages for the staff and no game to play at all. People are calling this p2w. I see no extra buffs on my bar, no shiny uniques that you can only buy from GGG and don't drop in the game. I also see no difference in gameplay, no area in the game you can't access for free. I do see a game that gives you 23 free character slots, free updates, free expansions. Alongside that you get free customer support that is second to none in any game I've played before. yes there are some of us who can afford to buy extra's. The extra tabs I buy in no way, shape or form impact anyone elses gameplay. It in no way restricts how you play the game or how you trade. People need to learn what the actual term pay to win means and stop throwing it around in this game like it has any relation at all to the mtx transaction. If you want a pay to play game, then go try find any other game where there are no true p2w aspects that give those that buy them true advantages in the game. GGG has a fantastic game model, its also the only game I have ever played where the playerbase gladly support the game and at one point even shouted at them for not having enough to spend their money on. This is a 100% level playing field for everyone and extra stash tabs make no difference at all to the gameplay. |

" this guys must have a pretty good memory. Remember every item to the 100 different stash numbers. And who the hell needs so many stashs for sale. In 3month leagues i have 2-3 tabs for sale (which would even go with the 4 free tabs and the 3red site option without trouble ... if you need more you just put everything in stash tabs without a clue and hope they sell or you are to lazy to sort them out after a while). And the moment i play classic hardcore or standard there is like no economy anyway and you can only sell really good rares and uniques which don t need more tabs either. Ok so, I read a lot of people calling POE pay-to-win, but is it really? They've added this but they've not said they've removed the $Trade chat allowing people who do not have premium stash tabs to still sell their items. If you can't afford premium stash tabs 1 or 6 including when they are on sale, then no offence, They don't cost much & are worth the money if you're willing to play POE for a lengthy time period. If you're not going to then there's no point in making comments about POE becoming a pay-to-win game.
I also think that they chose premium stash tabs over normal ones, so players could colour-code & rename their tabs. This in itself will make it a lot easier for people who will use third-party sites to pick & select what tabs are being used & use the software more efficiently, than figure out how to use it for a good hour or so. Again, Just my opinion. If you're not going to spend hours on end on POE, then nothing will be worth anything for you. - Iniquitous "You are a miracle, beloved. Love this i cant stand seeing people say, "this is pay to win" when you can still just use the free third party stuff! its pay for convenience which i like and will be supporting :)
