Except they will probably not work anymore? It's not for GGG to tell people if they'll work, because these tools are managed and updated by the community. If poe.trade drops support of forum indexing old toold become useless for trading.

Maybe Pay2Trade is the real term here.

I never expected GGG to do this. I mean, they've been criticized for other things, as if no matter what they do SOMEBODY is going to have a bitch fit about it. And usually I back them up. But this is digraceful, and again, bullshit.

Someone can respond, telling me to "Read the article. Then read it again if you don't get it. Huh huh, I think I'm so smart," but that won't change the reality one bit.

Besides, many people (like me) bought exactly ten tabs for a reason. They need to, at the very least, let us convert a tab to Premium for free.

Reading from exile tools, it seems like other indexers are dealt a death knell.

I hope there is a way for free players to access trading in the future (old tools are going to change to new API), as well as a cheap upgrade sale for normal tabs to premium tabs,..

If you have paid attention you would have seen that one of the indexers developer came forward and said that he won't support forum indexing.

I'm not a fan at all of this, why are premium tabs getting it only? I have 34 normal stash cause I can remember where my stuff are by just the tab number. I think you should be able to convert, say 4 normal stash tabs to say 3 premium tabs only for this purpose. (those numbers are scaled of the initial buying prices of tabs)

Yes, I know what I bought when I bought it. But there wasn't any talking about this at that time.. right? As I never had any reason to use premium tabs, until now.

Acquisition and Procurement may not support the old indexing anymore, because that's a lot more of a pain than the new way will be. It's already been said. People really seem to just post the first thing on their minds, without reading the last few pages of a thread...

Probably not in a while, because he's also author of aquisition, but why would he support terrible old system when there is new one available, which most people would use anyway?
It's bad for both poe.trade and for GGG to continue support:
1. It requires a constant forum scanning (Aquisition works around that by directly sending updates to poe.trade, because they are from the same author, but you still need to scan forums for item verification, threads not maintained by Aquisition etc.)
2. It relies on forum parsing
3. It requires hacks like "Appear online for 1 hour", because you have almost no way of knowing if person is online
4. It requires completely different code from new API
5. It relies on profile being public (can't trade with private profile - no way to know your ingame name)

So finally GGG admits that this game is designed as P2W. Either you fork out your monies to buy premium stash tabs to use all the sale functions or you are screwed over.

Guess they never really cared about people who don't bought stash tabs at all, nor spend ton of monies buying supporter packs to be with the "cool kids".

If GGG would really want to sort out trading they would GIVE FOR FREE these special public tabs to all players to implement new changes and encourage the use of these features.

But by the first look it seems it will only be available to those who pay GGG

I think lets wait and see what happens before friday. I assume GGG will have a sale for upgrades of tabs soon and/or convert some for free,..

This announcement was meant to give some hype - I am just curious why no reply yet from GGG. I think a reply from them would be greatly appreciated.
