How many of those stick to poe?

After being advertise as a complete f2p game they see is difficult to learn.
They see its clanky even with a good computer.
And then they see they need 3rd party tools for trade.

I stuck with it. Started in July. Mainly because of quality of game and i didnt need to spend a penny (although I did).

This game SHOULD BE PAY TO PLAY considering its quality, content and constant improvements and so much more. Still, it's free to play, definitely NOT P2W, and ppl complain?
I'm outraged as it is, I can only imagine what GGG staff members feel after putting so much effort in always listening to the community and trying (and many times succeeding) to satisfy everyone. This was one of the improvements most of you yourselves asked for!

Couldn't agree with you more. I've tried getting a couple of big streamers to play PoE and hopefully bring in more viewers and players into the community. Their reply to me was. No damn way do they want poe viewers in their streams. The whole Kappa culture thing this game is getting known for now will kill it eventually anyway. This used to be a great community, [Removed by Support] Constructive feedback is one thing, bitching and whining is just juvenile and pointless with the result of your point pretty much getting ignored.

Unfortunately I see the streamers coming down to the level of the kids rather than making any effort to clean up their chat rooms now, this has a knock on effect of encouraging that behavior and in turn just keeping those that the community would benefit from away from the trolls.

To kill a game you just have to kill the community in that game, and lack of any form of moderation in the ingame chat channels will help that along pretty fast. We used to see Devs in those channels as well as moderators, now we see trolls and self entitled kids, pointless even going in there. That is the first impression new players get of the game community, a chat room that most people refuse to use and a trade chat full of spam bots.

get some moderators into those rooms, stop promoting streams that do not keep their chat rooms within set rules etc. Its not hard to do and the overall result of a friendly game community is that the game reputation is enhanced. That in turn brings in more players, economies work better and everyone wins.

Anyone who wants to trade properly in this game now is forced to dedicate/buy stash tabs purely for trade and nothing else. Stash tab sales whoring at its finest...

Pretty much this - if you want to trade properly in this game you have to pay money.

Despite that fact, the way how you can set item price in game seems comfortable.

thats good but karva s statement was made 30minutes ago so its for new players starting this weekend

Also for those who think that the current trade system will still work. ExileTools v3 seem to only support new API. As soon as poe.trade drops support for forum crawler (because it also have it's cost with very little benefit) Procurement/Acquisition are likely to be dead and only remain as inventory management tools. I'm not sure about ExileTools v2, but as far as I understand it relies on 3rd party backend, that doesn't necessarily will be still supported (I might be wrong, I was never really interested in this much before).

I'm excited about these trade changes. I have chosen to not be active in trading because of how cumbersome it was. With these changes I might have to rectify that.

To all the people complaining about premium tabs:

If you can't afford 1.5$ to upgrade a stash tab to premium, how are you paying for electricity/your computer/bus fare/chipping in for communal computer/etc. ?
Spend some time earning 1.5$ to get your premium stash tab!

The players contributing money to GGG are those who enable you to play (and to play themselves).

This is not P2W. This is pay to convenience.
There are currently many other tools to perform trade.
Precurement, acquisition, poe.trade, trade chat, forums.

And it's not like GGG lined them all up against a wall and shot them down.

This is just another option, you can choose not to pay for it as you can choose not to pay for additional regular stash tabs.
