First Wave of Trade Improvements

At first glance, these changes are quite good. However, I can really feel you guys are pushing the give us more money agenda in a very non-ggg way - you state there is a problem with the trade system, which can only be fixed if the customer shells out money... Since when have fixes become gated by payments in PoE? Is this a trend we will see in the future?

So what you are saying is that if I don't have any premium stash tabs, I can't sell stuff anymore?

All the old tools will continue to work.

ALl the old tools which noone will use anymore

We probably shouldn't confuse 'free to play' and 'free to compete'. The game was never exactly 100% free to compete, as will any user that had to juggle alt accounts for stash tabs tell you.

However, no f2p game today skirts it as close as PoE. If you play the game enough to care about competing you should support the devs, and if you can afford a PC and internet connection you can afford a premium stash tab.

Saying "Will never be Pay to Win"

Means EXACTLY that people who want to compete won't have to pay to do so.

And for all the trolls who want to show off the $500 they paid GGG: Whether I or anyone else can easily afford those stash tabs or not is utterly irrelevant. This is still pay-to-win even if everyone can afford it.

Ergo GGG is lying when it said that POE will never be pay to win.

I like it when people use Latin when they make awful arguments. At first I was like "I should be nice since this person probably has brain damage" then I was like "Latin?! Sheeeeit, girl; you smart as hell".

Thoos advantages already out there (Procurement) If you dont use it its not my or neither the developer's problem....

Wrong, it's their problem, as they stated it in their post : "A lot more users just didn't find out about these tools or were not willing to put in the effort to use them."

Now they offering you a choice but >>>YOU CAN STILL<<< use third party program for trade (what myself and i think the 90% of the community using)....So i think you have to re-think this.

The game is still FREE TO PLAY and this is a FACT.

Well as I said before the game is free, however you also have advantages - pls don't tell me Procurement does the same thing, you can't sell items without downloading a third party program, alt tab and linking your stuff in a thread, do you ? - if you PAY for premium stash tab. This is also a fact.

Yes, but is the added convenience really that much of a difference from the added convenience of simply having more stash tabs? I don't believe the added convenience is that much of an issue, (I believe) the real issue is that we still need to provide login details to a third party app for the free functionality.

No the premium trade tab convenience is not really different than extra stash tabs. It's the addition of conveniences who bother me the most, they are orientating the game in a direction that I don't like (somewhere between f2p and p2w).

i dont see this as an improvement, since nothing really changed. still cant trade just ingame. gotta go on poe.trade to find items. and many ppl, myself included, dont have premium tabs. bought 12 normal tabs and planed to not spend anymore here, so this feature doesnt concern me at all.

it sounds like a shitty move to make just premium tabs tradable tho, and thats just my opinion.
An improvement for chosen ones...
I have 40+ tabs, but none of them are premium tabs though, I mean I cant change the color/name of those tabs, but I have bought those extra tabs. Can anyone confirm me that these tabs wont help me for the new trade API change, right?
So if I want to buy an item. How to proceed ?
Check the 3rd party website again ?

Just to know

GG GGG, satisfying enough first steps for trade

Ok, this is bull shit now.

I dont want to say, it is p2w, ppl still can use the 3rd party stuff. Why not add such menu to all tabs?

I have many normal stash tabs, never needed premium. And now, if i would want to upgrade, i would need to pay 5 points more for each tab, this is bs. I though, that this sux already, actually wanted to buy ascendancy supporter pack and upgrade all tabs, but when i saw, that i need to overpay 5 points per tab, didnt wanted anymore.

I'm really disappointed now.

P.S. deleted a lot of swearing before posting, so dont get on probation. Still helped to vent a bit.

I'd say a fair balance is to convert at least one existing tab to premium. That way we can still participate in the trading improvements, and people who likes efficiency/hoarding can still do so by buying more tabs as they've always been doing.

1 tab is nothing. I use at least 20 tabs for trade. If i still need to start a 3rd party program, than it is useless.

Why i'm disappointed, is that a huge feature is only available to the selected. Which was not the case in GGG's doing before.

Says the person who has 20 stash tabs of items for sale. That's like 14 more than F2P players.

Learn to read between the lines, it's generally a very useful skill, much more useful than learning to scream 'lies' and 'injustice'. That particular statement has been in gray area since forever, who cares if it moves one step to either side of the spectrum.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
