First Wave of Trade Improvements
This is a great improvement, however, I can't help feeling a little sorry for the kid that can't afford to buy premium stash tabs.
Starting everyone off with 1 premium tab would be an ideal fix but, it's not my decision to make. So how bout it GGG? Feeling charitable? The Lab, making a great game good since 2016.

Also people tend to forget that Procurement/Acquisition are 3rd party tools. It may happen so, that noone will be interested in supporting these tools. This is not as bad, because you can manually create shop threads, but poe.trade owner can also decide that it's not worth time to support shop forums and no one will be interested in making a fork.
The whole sentence about "current trading system will still work" relies on 3rd party tools and websites to continue support it. |

So this is a quality of life update sold to sellers via premium tabs?
I think you have missed what the issue is with trading. Most people dont trade not because it was to much hassle to sell (most people will never sell more than the odd lucky drop) but that its too much hassle to buy.The sellers are always gonna find way to sell as thats what they are interested in i.e making wealth. This does nothing to make people like me who would happily buy from sellers if it wasn't a complete pain in the arse what with people never being on-line or not selling at the stated price or not even having the item at all and thats to say nothing about having to stop playing for a non trivial amount of time to physically trade the items themselves. Really whats the issue with just having fixed price player shops exactly, like the already in game vendors? No really and ill say it again the bottle neck to trading isnt ease of selling its ease of buying. While im sure the big time traders will just love this as half there competition will disappear over night. Hopefully the next improvement will be some-thing for the buyers. Ill give a reason why all regulars should upvote for the 1 free premium stash tab for everyone: experienced players make currency also because others underevaluate their items. so more noobs will list their items wrong. and big players will profit.
also - people will donate less to Acquisition - ppl who only bought regular stash tabs are punished abit The pareto principle might work great for GGG even if they stick to this decision: 80% of the money are brought by 20% of the people Last edited by wsbisev#0627 on Feb 29, 2016, 10:45:35 PM

" You're right on everything except that it doesn't add any qol. It adds 50% qol. When you are selling. Two clicks and it's listed. I hope they will implement a search function ingame soon so we won't have to alt-tab at all. |

" Agreed, I'm in the exact same boat. +1 |

I have premium stash tabs, I can afford to buy more premium stash tabs, but after reading most of the pages in this thread perhaps GGG would be able to give one semi-premium tab and 3 regular as the defaults? Something like a tab that doesn't allow color changes or name changes, is a slightly lighter brown and can be set to public, with players being able to put items in and set prices? Just a thought. I fully support the third party software, and use it myself, but I can see why people would feel cheated by this announcement.
Whatever way this goes, I love this update. Super stoked. Thanks GGG. |
