First Wave of Trade Improvements

I am gonna put one more summary up for a few points being placed.

Has this change devalued regular stash tabs?

No

Is it a dick move that they put in a discount on regular stash tabs prior to this announcement?

No, that is reserved for the Arctic Armour set.

Is there going to be a disadvantage for not using a premium tab?

Kinda, you will be in charge of appearing online/offline, you know? That button that you click once an hour on poe.trade? I am sorry for those of you who will have to continue clicking that hourly button :(

Is poe.trade going to change it's form of indexing?

No idea, but I would hardly see why they would remove an already well used model in place of a new one, if anything they would just adapt it.

Does this matter for my dealings with buying and selling?

No, hell, spamming trade does more sales for me than indexing does.

Is this a bad direction for GGG?

Lastly

This change does next to nothing in the long run, and you can play the game on equal ground without needing a premium tab.

Plus, like every other change that people whine about, it is usually balanced out eventually, you know... with time?

Xyz (poe.trade) will continue to support forum indexing (at least it is what he says now), but nothing stops him from rethinking it in the future.

Just toss the Premium Stash Tab as a one-time Account reward for killing Malachai (Merciless). People only really do serious trading once you get into Mapping Content anyway.

The game will be pay2win when GGG start selling currency for real Money, freaking stash with trade options aren't p2w just another option for the good ol' trade system, yes those with Premium stash have a little advantage over those who don't but that advantage isb't gameplay related, they just have the trading a little bit easier, fuckers!

It's not P2W but it sure is pay for QoL improvements now.

Nothing wrong with that IMO. If people don't want to spend the US$1.50 on a premium stash tab they can trade the old way - many folks have got 'rich' doing that over the last couple of years.

This is paying for convenience - kind of like having more stash tabs is convenient. They cost so why shouldn't this?

I am totally fine with a better trading system and i do like almost everything about it. I'm absolutely not scared about getting less currency due to the new trading system... you got me wrong there.

the point i was trying to make is that it is the first time in PoE history that there's ingame-content exclusively available for people that bought it with real money. even though in this case it's just a few penny's, the game is not 100% free 2 play anymore. to me this seems like a step into the wrong direction. I am concerned that we are forced to pay for any other upcoming future content. And one thing i love about this game is to absolutely not beeing forced to pay (supporting this game makes me feel better this way).

It's still is 100% F2P for everyone. Everything is optional and at the players discretion.

I'm perfectly happy that a very mild incentive QOL feature may encourage some players to spend a few $ on a few upgrades or purchases if they feel they would like too.

Nothing mandatory about choosing one trade system over another they are equally viable.

There are plenty of players that play with the 4 free tabs and never use trade to sell.

POE still 100% F2P !!!

Buying Tabs is paying for QoL and has always been. Yet I've haven't seen a thread about that in years.
People seems fine about it.

I see no difference here. You can still do all the trading for free.

I somewhat understand improving trading in this game, but why not focus on the real quality of life improvements; like better range on fishing...
